use booster's labTo clear things up; my question isn't "How do I make a completely new background and put it in a map". My question is "How do I make backgrounds for new maps work?"
I'm pretty sure mine and Noxid's answers were valid, you were just dense.
oh those java intolerant computers, they're so problematic at timesWell maybe his computer can't handle java.
First, set a flag to indicate that you don't want to die when you drown. Then open up the global script Head.tsc, and go to event #0041. Set a flag jump so that when your flag is set, it will do something different from what normally happens when you drown, such as fading out and transitioning to another room for a cutscene.I've got another quick question. How do I make it so if you drown in a room, you don't die? I want to make it read other scripts like after drowning it fades in and another character says he fished you out or something.
Use <SMC, that's what it's there for.EDIT: I figured out it was in Head TSC. But when I do a <TRA command to a specific room you can't see the player character at all and you can't move.
try <FOMI made a clone map of Mimiga Village, but the camera doesn't follow the player. I tried every scroll type.

In the script that runs on death, did you add a <DNP to it to delete the entity on death? (Though, they'd need specific event numbers, if I'm not mistaken.)Green ones. The polar star doesn't do anything to them. I have them run a script on death. But they don't die. I also made them not go through walls, but I don't know if that effects whether they take damage or not. They are also set to shootable.
the up/down knockback is in the machine gun (weapon) code, around the part when it shoots bulletsnot sure if this has been asked before (the site's search is shite and i'm not going to sift through 350+ pages) but how can i edit the machine gun's knockback?
