Just for clarification, the Machine Gun's velocities are between 41E4E9 and somewhere around 41E572, right?
Which of these are the correct velocities I should change?
Sorry for all of the questions.
Quick question, is there any way to return the backgrounds to my mod if they're ALL corrupt and I have no fixed map to copy from? Apparently that happened to my mod without my knowledge. I've looked at threads that say you can hex edit it but I've tried doing what it says to do step by step exactly as told multiple times and it does nothing.
EDIT: BL refuses to open maps within my mod. Sure, it works with my other mods, but for some reason it doesn't work with this one.
Okay wait a minute I just downloaded my last demo and all the backgrounds are intact and it works with BL what the hell did I do
Obviously I need to backup my files more
EDITEDIT: New question. Anyone know which NPC is Igor's projectile? I wanna change its properties.
You need to use Resource Hacker. This will let you open up the game's files and edit stuff like music and credits artwork. If you want to change a song, go into the ORG folder (whilst Doukutsu.exe is open in ResHacker) and pick the song you want. Open its respective folder.
Here's a reference, since the names are a little confusing:

Then you right-click the file inside the folder (it will be named 1041) and click "replace resource". Pick the org that you want to replace with, then type ORG for the file type, the same name as the one you're editing (so if you're changing Running Hell you'd type HELL), and the language as either 1041 or nothing (either one works).
The recently released Booster's Lab is currently stable and is the one most likely to have supercool new features implemented over time. If you don't care about resource hacking (i.e. music and other things stores in Doukutsu.exe) then Sue's Workshop probably still has a better user interface. Whatever you choose, stick with it (or make a backup first), because using more than one editor can mess up your mod.
I'm having some trouble with cave editor 99d and windows 7. I have been told older versions may work better with my system. Where can i find cave editor 99c or 99b at?
That is wrong. 0.99d should be the newest version. Actually, there are 1.00 versions, but only Noxid dollars will get you them.
The most stable is 0.98. Other editors should work too.
