There's a very low possibility that that flag could have been set somewhere else in the game.

You should be wary of <DNP and <DNA as these things will set a flag if an entity has a particular flag ID

Actually, that's good to know. Do they happen to set a flag, or toggle the flag's state?

If memory serves, they only set a flag. If the flag's already set, then nothing should happen. It wouldn't be that hard to test I suppose.

Can anyone guess why this might be happening? I remember it happened one time, but I don't remember how I fixed it...

Yes, I put The Show in My Music.

Were you hacking the exe? It looks the header format might be broke or something.

The only times I can recall getting that error are when I've tried to edit with SW a mod that's already been edited with CE.

anything that screws up the format of the exe. ie, ce to sw, or as noxid said, messing with the header data. or sues after resource hacking.

I really didn't do anything like that. I swear I was just editing with Cave Editor and then all of a sudden this happened.

It's much easier to make a diagnosis when you have the exe in front of you.

142 maps?!? Really?

I think that's your problem.

Yeah I just tested it, and if I delete some maps so that there are only 127 or so then it's fixed.

You don't have to maul everything though, you can just screw with the map max.

00414B20 push ebp
00414B21 mov ebp,esp
00414B23 push 0080
00414B28 push 00
00414B2A push 49E5B8
00414B2F call 00480D30
00414B34 add esp,0C
00414B37 pop ebp
00414B38 ret

Change push 0080 to something else to change the max number of maps.

note you can do that easily with a hex editor, so no fear if assembly scares you.

That's not the problem lace. With the version he uploaded, ollydbg wouldn't even open it. Simply put, CaveEditor only has so much space for new maps, but it must have went and extended the length of the exe due to the extra maps, without editing the header to match.

Basically he'd have to edit the header which declares the sections or whatnot, and not even I really know how to do that. Noxid might.

Oh wait, I fixed it! Well, I opened it with CE, and then I saved it. I opened it and then it worked perfectly.

Maybe you added a map or something without saving?

There's a possibility, but I kinda doubt it, because I had to delete a bunch of maps. I just saved the whole thing and it worked. But I saved it like that before, and got the error. But then I did it now and didn't. Sure is weird. Oh but thanks for letting me know how to change number of maps able.

Alright assholes, whenever I add <CLR it clears the text normally but when the new text appears it doesn't appear near the top of the text box but in the middle. Any idea how to solve this one so that it would appear near top?
