Well, looks like we've filled up the image quota for this thread.

Life is a Path of Destiny we Build for ourselves, and even others. Sometimes if we don't grab ahold of things when we have the chance, they slip away. It seems you love her alot, and just like Quote, you need to take a risk, but if something goes wrong, It is not your fate to be with her, but there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel, waiting for use to arrive at, look back at the times we had, and smile. Fate is fate, so you should ask. It may be her fate too.

Seconding this, but also adding that guys are no different in the end.

Mind you that isn't a bitter jaded comment because I had my heart broken by a guy or whatever like most people act when they get their heart broken by a guy or girl like I think a few people in this thread are acting like.

But from the viewpoint of studying both males and females long enough to find out that males and females aren't really all that different like the world wants to make them out to be especially when it comes to relationships and in everyday life.

I believe one of the main problems males and females have is that the world is always trying to make them out to be different so they believe they're too different to work together which is simply untrue.

However, as snide as it might sound you children shouldn't be talking about love since children aren't fully developed mentally and physically. Not to say young love doesn't exist and can't last until you're both 100 years old, but talking about it is a different matter all together.

So wait... you're saying... boys have cooties too?
This changes everything.

In all seriousness, good post. Breaking up the monotony of BAWW.

My mother hit the nail right on the head.

Actually..I have my own perception of love. Even though people are young, can't they say they love their significant other if they care about them deeply and unconditionally? That is basically what love is...though the unconditionally part can be varied. It doesn't necessarily mean they are gonna marry that person, in fact, thinking about that would be unrealistic. But I dunno. I think at a young yet mature age you can still love somebody...even though it won't always last forever. It matters if you truly know and truly connect with that person...obviously.

Thank you for finally bringing some intelligence back to this thread.

Thank you too, CptFab, for allowing me to replace the lame quote in my sig with a slightly less lame quote :debug:.

edit: so I'm not being hypocritical in making a stupid post right after thanking those above me for c-c-c-c-combobreaking the preceding stupid posts...

I would say the age of the people involved in a relationship (romantic or otherwise) has little to do with whether or not their love can be considered "real love". Young love can last, and, even if it doesn't, that's okay because you can learn from your mistakes. Also, adults can do the same immature kind of things that teens can do, albeit with less influence from raging hormones.

People suck, it's just that half of them happen to be female

Of course growing up being shown that you won't be respected unless you behave like a horrible person probably doesn't help either

Heck, there are "fully developed" adults who do that.

Ive been posting on another forum about this.. 'saga'.. And gotten plenty of helpful replies.

Long story short, a combination of luck, advice ive gotten from forums, my own judgement and a miraculous ability to momentarily put aside my social anxiety to jump at an opportunity to talk to her has improved the situation. I am probably an acquantance rather than a stranger now. Also i became friends with one of her friends, bringing the possibility of an introduction. This is a big improvement from before, where I only had desperate strategies (mainly involving stalkings, tracking her down then talking to her) and only a remote chance of actually being with her.

Good for you! At least one of us won't end up a cynical lonely bastard (like House).

Why thanks. I was certainly heading down the path of being a cynical lonely bastard forever.

There is still one obstacle though. I ultimately can't control her feelings. I like her but she might not like me back, for whatever whimsical reason. And there is likely nothing I can do about it if thats the case.

If thats the case I'll definately become a cynical lonely bastard.

Yeah, basically this.

Whenever I am trepidated or scared to do something, I follow these steps.

Slowly bring your right hand in front of you and then clench it into the most vicious, disgusting claw you can bear. Then clench that fist right over your balls and scream "WHAT I FEEL IN MY HAND RIGHT NOW IS PROOF THAT I HAVE BALLS. SINCE I HAVE BALLS I AM A MAN." (scream last part in mind if suitable)

I don't think I'm brave enough, or not-scared enough to do that, either D:

Fuck that, according to several porn sites, there are three (five? seven?) really weird questions you can ask girls that will.. um, I think it was turn them on? Or get them into your bed?

Anyway, I didn't click the ad, but I think all the questions are "Does this smell like chloroform to you?"

I was gonna say a thing... what was it.

Oh yes. Just because she doesn't fall in love with you right off the bat doesn't mean you've failed. Give it time, don't freak out about the little things, and remember everyone needs their space. However, don't persist in your "winning her over" scheme too long, as most people have trouble communicating their feelings and this may lead to a restraining order if you keep at it.

And I still think you have an unhealthy obsession.

Well the thing is, we all have fear. People who jump off cliffs with wingsuits and open their chute at the last moment feel the same fear that we do. But they still do it. They don't let the fear control them. So whether you're a B.A.S.E jumper, or a man in love, taking the leap might be the hardest thing to do but also the most transcendent.
