It's... Harder?
I'm getting this and playing on hard mode.

...you do realize hard mode equates to doing a 3 HP run in addition to NOT having access to missiles? (not to mention the speed upgrade that totally screwed me over) I'm not sane enough to do that just yet, but kudos to anyone if they can survive the torture!

Oh, and Quote's a blonde in hard mode. Why'd he have to go and change his hair?

Oh, and Misery's hair color finally got fixed, except now her shirt is black in the portrait. FAIL.

On the Cave Story Wii forums someone else actually said something exactly like you did. I don't think the guy who is doing the playthrough even knows about this forum.

MAN FUCK THAT GUY AND FUCK WHOEVER COPIED ME. I thought I was gonna make it big. I coulda had class. I coulda *shot for old, old reference*
So, anyway, I'm not buying this game. I'm going to watch the whole LP, listen to the whole soundtrack, and memorize all the changes they made to the dialog, but only because I love Cave Story so hard. This is not Cave Story to me; it is a poor fan remake.

I say it's a good version that's make enough justice to the original to be considered good, and if Pixel is happy for it, I'm happy too.

How does it feel to know that one man is more talented than your entire team who worked on this Nicalis?

And also you arrogant f-, you would put your name is huge letters at the start(AND UNSKIPABLE)and leave Pixel completely off the game sans for one tiny little text in the opening that most people will skip after one viewing. I don't see ANY credit to Pixel past that and I doubt people will even know if they've never played it before or have never heard of Cave Story previously.

I am filled to the brim with rage.

AND GIVE ME AN OPTION TO HAVE THE OLD SOUNDS, I AM TIRED OF HEARING MY FIREBALL SOUND LIKE A BUBBLE. AND LEARN TO LOOP TRACKS, CHRIST.

Cave Story for the Wii. The most horrible abomination in fucking history. I gave it a chance, I did. However, when I saw the gameplay footage of the full released game, I was infuriated. I wanted to punch Tyrone soo hard in the fucking balls that he would scream in agony and pain. That's how pissed I was. I bet Pixel has barely done any sort of work on this port, because if he did, the port would be alot more satisfying than this shithole.

The music is terrible, there are like 1 or 2 alright tracks, but the rest is just half assed and bullshit. The sound effects bury the music as well, which is a terrible thing to begin with. I can't belive Noxid doesn't have a problem with it, I bet he has a serious case of down's syndrome.

Fuck Cavestory for the Wii. Fuck it to hell. I don't care if Tyrone reads this.

This is a disgrace to the original Cave Story.

I haven't beaten it yet, but it's kind of ridiculous how you see "Nicalas" everywhere but not Pixel who originally created the game and allows for his company to even be legit.

The gameplay is fine, I have no problem with that at all. Extra FPS is great, I like it. Having the option to have the old FPS would be very welcomed though. But everything else bogs it down to where it loses its charm so much.

Anyway, BOSS RUSH MODE has a "get whatever items and full weapon charge also did I mention we're healing you to full health" between every fight.

 

I can't belive Noxid doesn't have a problem with it, I bet he has a serious case of down's syndrome.

Where did that come from? I simply refuse to pass any firm judgement until I've played it or watched more than 5 minutes of gameplay. I want to give it a chance at least.
