I just read the blog. Great stuff. I can't wait to see the end result for this chapter. Animated tiles? Interesting concept.

Well, it's not really animated tiles, even if that was the original intention.

He's got some 45 degree slope tiles, and can activate slipperiness for all slopes, though it only affects the main character at this point.

I've played the easy version a bit, and I gotta say it's quite amazing. You've clearly put a lot more work into this mod than I put in my games. I'm currently at the Tetris part.

I'd like to write a ton of positive and neutral comments, but I just discovered I've got less than a minute to get to where I'm supposed to be. I'll say more once I've finished the game and tried the normal version.

Also you'll probably find the easier version more to your liking, depending on your skill. Thanks for the feedback so far.

But this is a good opportunity for me to ask the forum people a question: in the latter part of chapter 5 there will be a carnival-like-area, in which you'll need to beat minigames to get past the area overall. Any ideas for some carnival-ish minilevels?

A Plinko board of death would be interesting, but rather insane/dull. One of the ideas I have is a house of mirrors (as to how that works, well you'll see).

Also the duck shooting might work, but how would I make it a challenge with the CS engine?

The ducks fall from the sky, if they hit the ground, you lose. Higher level ducks have higher health. Kinda.

Ooh! Ooh! Make a "choose a door, win a prize" game! But some don't have nice things in them. Some have mean faces and bad guys. But some have money and maybe a RAM chip!

Wait that might not work with the cavestory engine... Hmm...

Oh how about a game where you run through a hallway but bullet bill type enemies are shot at you and you're not allowed to get hit!

Eh, how about a quiz show? You can use yes or no answers, or just display what yes and no will count as when answering. Wheel of fortune sounds good as well.

Hmmmm I don't know about the quiz show.

Ok so here are the ideas so far:

-House of mirrors
-Shoot Ducks that fall from the sky
-Pick a door

If anyone else has any other ideas, let me know.
