Keep in mind that's the second boss in the game. Bosses later in the game will have more hp. Much more.

Plus I think the rpg doesn't do enough damage personally. I think it should be a one-shot (you use it, then it's GONE) deal, where it kills whatever it hits. But keeping it around let's the player use it for bosses. It also punishes players who use/waste it stupidly.

If it's gonna be a one-shot-RPG for the whole game situation, then it should be made obvious (at least somewhat obvious) that you're not gonna get another chance to use it.

Otherwise, lots of people may fire it just to test it out when they get the weapon.

You can get ammo before the boiler, and after it. Knowing this would have been helpful in v0.3 though :3

I'm just supposing what'll happen if he just makes the RPG one shot for the whole game, with no ammo refills anywhere.

Oh my friend had an idea for a minimod.
You are at a computer and the textbox sez: "I'm going to make a game called Cave Story!" then balrog comes in and says "No you're not" and you fight him once with the Polar star and then the game ends.
call it Cave Story Story roflmao :confused:

I found another glitch, game-breaking unfortunately. If you use the portal gun, you can get back to the save chamber after getting the booster. Saving in the middle of the fight doesn't directly screw up the game, but if you die, the boss won't appear on the retry.

Easy enough to fix. I'll just have the <CMP's (change map tiles) run when you enter the room from that door.

Don't worry, for the next release I'll TRY to bug test the portal run.

The portal run doesn't really pose any serious problems as long as you aren't actively trying to break the game.

To set up a portal, you fire the gun. It'll establish a portal on the first wall it hits.
To change between orange and blue portals, you press W, also known as the map key.

I don't think that'll work because the small room starts to "display" the next tetris piece that's coming... and that'll kill you if you're standing in that room.

Actually, it won't kill you - the required lethal entity only spawns in the actual play area.
But still - You could break the game somehow.

I doubt it:

a) If it did work, it would only allow you to skip the tetris/get yourself trapped, maybe.
b) You can't get in there and save since the save is deleted.
c) The <MOV command used to get you into the main tetris playing field actually glitches the portal gun kinda, as in it resets the portal gun to think that there are no portals on the field. Therefore the portals you fire cease to work until the blocks stop falling (since you can't switch portal-type during the tetris part).
