and usually the lighting of the cave determins how the cave feels.
example:
first cave: this cave likes you and wants to be your friend
hell: this cave wants to crush all your hopes and dreams and make you cry and depressed
and it worked on me:(

Yeah.....no. The lit caves is not because it loves you. Its because the installed light bulbs.

The solar panels would block all light going to the outer wall's Sand Crocs, therefore they would die and cease to do the job of lighting the caves that they do.
In short: no.

That's why there are the lightbulbs powered by those damn solar panels. We still get the light. On the plus side, NO MORE SANDCROCS! WOOT!

maybe the mountain is actually a volcano and the magma cooled and shaped themsefs into rocks before they hit the ground.
