Anybody know where the level 1 blade's hitrects are in the code?

or what they'd look like?

I wanted to ask a specific question. I would have asked this to the member
n0xid but I could not get his/her username to work with the PM system. I wanted to know how to show an image, like the map image in King's Story that has the mineral locations (see this link http://www.mediafire.com/i/?oedb7uwzqw4d10). How do I implement this in my mod? How I can show an full single image. In nOxid's mod, this image comes up after a YNJ and then a TRA or FAO command. I have no idea how this is done. Another important thing to note is that the map exits when the user presses the "Z" or "X" button. Another note, if it involves complex assembly, I probably won't do it, but if it does not, I'm up to try to implement it.
Thanks again for the help!

You couldn't find "n0xid" because his name is Noxid on these here forums. I'm pretty sure he used assembly, but for a similar effect, you could make a background that has the picture you want on it, make a room that just has that background, and TRA to that room to show the picture.

To anyone interested, answering this question would directly lead to an improvement to the Blade Mod.

I did indeed see that - I didn't answer bc I do not know off the top of my head/notes. I can try to look for them later, but no promises.

A quick question and a quick answer will do;

Is it possible to make another character/npc/mob for the game?
Do i also need to modify the Mimiga version of Sue(MyChar) in the game or i just need to edit Sue?

It is indeed possible and I don't understand your second question!

That's used in the main game, when you get the mimiga mask.

How could you have beaten the game and not know this?

I haven't beaten the game yet -.-"

So it needs mimiga mask? I'll leave it what it looks like 'cuz i'm not going to use the mimiga mask on my total conversion mod...

I have another question, can i use 16x16 tiles instead 17x17 tiles that the game uses?

What?! And you're making a mod?

But the game uses 16x16. You seem to have miscounted.

Did yoownload the Cave Story deluxe packadge by any chance? It comes with a copy of Sue's Workshop I believe. Is that the reason you have started modding without finishing the original game? Or did you have a game idea, and then see that this game is easilly hacked? I'm just curious.

Most people make a mod because they loved Cave Story (which involves them beating the game). It almost seems kind of wrong to make a mod if you haven't beaten it, not to mention that you would be uninformed compared to other modders.

You need assembly hacking. I describe the general process in this post.

That was pretty much as hold-your-hand tutorial as you are going to get. At least attempt to learn assembly, and if you don't want to learn it, don't expect to do things with it.

I'm not doing this alone. Did you checked the thread?
I'm only a begginer in ASM like any other. And I want to learn everything I can.

Firehead, I suggest that you read the beginner's guide to Cave Story assembly. I wonder who wrote it. Hrm..

Anyway, if you need additional help, ask Lunarsoul since he seemed to understand my explanation on ASM keypresses.
