Go to the room that is internally titled “Kings", Then change the room name to whatever you want it to be.

Hate to be a bother but does anyone know how to change the version number on the title screen? I probably should've asked this before but i didn't realize it was there.

 

If you have the program, open Resource Hacker and select the Doukutsu.exe file. Once you have it open, click on the Version Info folder and replace all instances of 1,0,0,6 to whatever version you wanna put in. Don't forget to press F5 once you're done, save, and the new version info should be displayed on the title screen!

yep occurs with both when it's not working

Additionally, what graphics card do you have, and what mods/hacks are you attempting to use?

 

i dont really know what graphics card im using and no mods or hacks on that one
its just weird because it alternates randomly
its fine now but I bet in half a month it'll go back to the gray screen

These instructions are for another game, but you can do the same with Cave Story. Using borderless windowed mode will prevent your issue.

You can use the mimiga mask sprites for one extra set of sprites. If you want more, put the infinite mimiga mask hack in your mod.
