Cave Story FanArt

Lol... That was certainly something. Interesting little smooth over with the 4K Cave Story cloud background, though.

 

I think it's been a while since I posted anything here, I haven't done Cave Story art lately but yesterday I remembered that I had an account on this site I thought "why not?" so I decided to make this art here of Kanpachi.

I had already posted a similar drawing here before so this one is, in a way, a remake of that other one,
I think it's the best I've posted so far....

Anyway, I liked the result although it's not perfect, that's it, sorry for this text, I felt I needed to write something since I spent a good few months without any interaction here.

 

Very nice, I like the background landscape you have there, it really brings the whole picture to life. I also like the texture on the platform that both resembles the layout in the game and adds more feel to it.

 

I love this artwork a lot. I really enjoy people's interpretations of cave story's locations in art especially when it adds depth and background scenery to it, I like the atmosphere of it too

 

Swamped with college application work so couldn't make anything better, but here's a quick-and-dirty windows xp-style doodle celebrating Cave Story's 19th anniversary.

Wow, I really like the atmosphere you set up with the colours and lighting. The lineless style pulls it all together. So serene~

Ello. I made some Sue portrait sprites which mimic Doomguy's mugshots. Some frames are missing, but it still works. These have been modified over the course of a month.
Haven't found a use other than a successful attempt at adding them to GZDoom. Guess i'll post them here.

(Unsure if it counts as NSFW or not, but i'll still spoiler it anyways because of my uncertainty. You can see some third-person sprites in the bottom left, too.)

JayJayJay, I like those, those look really neat and give a unique flare that definitely looks like the style of album art. I'm not very savvy on music though, so I don't recognize which artists or albums any of those pics are referencing, except for one of them that might be a reference to Daft Punk. Are you willing to give us a cheat sheet on what those are referencing?

Also Javvcke, those are fine to post here, it would only be considered NSFW if it had nudity or something very overtly sexual in nature. And holy cow, those are really good. That's some really good sprite work, those do a really good job of showing Sue looking bloodied up, and look kind of scary, so job well done.
