Well, I just got the impression from andwhyisit that this wasn't going to be a mod, and he started the thread, but I think we should all vote on it. Anyway, if you can figure out something as unintuitive as exe hacking, you can probably figure out C++ - if not C++, then almost certainly Lua.

Well, I was going to suggest OGRE 3D anyway, which is a great rendering engine. Do not buy Torque. Sure, it looks appealing, but DO NOT BUY TORQUE. It costs $100, and you can do all of the same stuff - no, you can do better stuff - with various pieces of free open source software hanging...
