Annoying as hell, Skeletons are my least favorite monster dudes. The bonemerang things are easily outrun but pack a wallop.

Misery's floating balls of black lightning. Or whatever you call them. They strike when you go under them.

We are rating these weapons/powers/projectiles/etc as if you are the wielding them, not on the receiving end, that means that it being a strong attack is a good thing.

Lightning Void I guess, and the other attacks being Shielding Void, Summon (summons monsters), and Teleport (she uses it to drop stuff on you). An ability of hers that isn't an attack is Levitation, but misery can only move vertically while levitating. I just come up with these names as I go. :D

Lightning Void: 7/10

Would be useful against mindless creatures but anyone with a brain in their skull could learn how to dodge it.

100 damage every time it falls, but most every monster with decent speed can dodge it.

Forces the enemy to make a choice between attacking you or defending against the wave of Bats, which gives you more opportunity to attack the enemy, it may force the enemy into close range depending on the weapon, and you can send out more Bats to keep the enemy in check, the downside is that it cannot be effective as your main weapon and may pull your enemy in too close when you may prefer long-range attacks.

Spore (Night Spirit)

3/10

Pros:
- Can hit many enemies at once.

Cons:
- Useless without wind.
- Low attack power.

Since the previous poster didn't specify a weapon -

Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device.

(Hey, the OP didn't say it had to be Cave Story weapons only.)

Easily dodged.
Powerful
But... Ballos should be dead even before he becomes wobbly and flurry to lightning you.

How about Flower blocks (from Toroko+ in Sand Zone :p).

Flowers obstruct and hinder enemy and sometimes protect you, block causes large amounts of damage and is hard to avoid, an effective weapon. The only letdown is the weight of it, the only human that could possibly lift that thing would be Cloud. :p

You gotta die to use it, so it's pretty pointless.
