    "Psychology"/Awareness Games.

Ha. I totally broke Elude. The jumping section's limit is either based on height, or based on the number of objects you jump on. And there's a limited number of leaves that will generate for some reason. So by just bouncing off the canopy and avoiding leaves, I eventually ran out, and now...

Hence "requirements/recommendations"? And being lacking in the graphics card department would have a lot more profound of an effect than not having quite as much RAM as they suggest, for example.

Does your system meet the admittedly-vague system requirements/recommendations? •Windows 7 / Vista / XP •Xbox 360 Controller •High quality headphones/speakers •High end Nvidia or ATI graphics card •Dual core processor (Intel Core 2 Duo) •4GB RAM •1GB Hard Drive Space

Actually, it's free because it's a DigiPen game, and thus it's illegal for the creators to charge for it. Still. Official 2010-2011 DigiPen game of the year right there. XP Well, if someone posted this, maybe I'll post ours later...

    Cave Story: Jenka's Nightmare

You're at a glitch, actually. You're not supposed to be able to get back into Genesis: Sky once you leave. If you want to continue on that save, you're going to have to edit out the block that traps you using Sue's Workshop or something. Though, yes, I do think you're basically done. If you...

I really, REALLY think Pixel is making a new game

Re: I think Pixel is making a new game. Probably because he deleted them (or at least stopped showing them) once he had some WIP pictures with actual graphics? Have you been following Cave Story since the beginning of its development? Or did you only learn about it after it was already done...

I really, REALLY think Pixel is making a new game

Re: Meh, graphics. Ah good, someone understands the normal process of game development. What you see here is what's known as "programmer art." Vector graphics are common for that. There's no point in making something look fancy if it's just gonna fall through in development or turns out to...

    Strange Island Explorer Guy

    Oh. OK, then, guess I misunderstood. But I give support anyway. XP I've been here the whole time, actually, I just don't post unless I have something significant to say. I'm a lurker, I guess. XP;;

    Strange Island Explorer Guy

That's called exposition. It's actually very common. It's not considered "breaking the fourth wall," especially in this case, since there's not really any specific person saying it. The dog-ghost just before Ballos repeats the main points of the story the Hell narration gives, in order for...

Stupid questions that, BY GOD you'll all answer with something stupid.

You don't. It says "You were never seen again" or something. This is because you can't fly enough to get back to the island. Thus, game over.

Cave Story Officially RELEASED for WiiWare

Of course it doesn't look like Japanese writing. It looks like squiggles to represent writing. You can't have all the signs, which all say something different, have the same words actually visible on them. That's a pretty common technique, as far as I know.

    Cave Story: Jenka's Nightmare

No, you're not supposed to go through Grasstown again to get the Explosive. There's a way to turn off the fans that keep you away from it on your first time through. You've just gotta experiment. As for what to do with it, take it to the Hermit Gunsmith.

    Cave Story: Jenka's Nightmare

That happens if you go there a second time. You're not supposed to be able to get to Genesis: Sky again through Grasstown after you do once. If you saved in there, you're stuck unless you edit the map like DoubleThink said.

    Would someone please help?

Some mods require you to copy the original Cave Story folder and extract them there, because they only include changed files to save space.

    Movie script

I think the director of the movie might disagree with you there. Not to mention the writer of the book it was based on. I quote from Cracked.com's list of "5 awesome movies ruined by last minute changes," since the site itself might have a few too many NSFW elements to link to, even though...

How about we stick with what happens in the game, instead of making huge changes to the plot like killing off major characters? Adaptation Decay is one of the things that most people hate about adaptations from one form of media to another.

    Kaeso's Mod (unfinished)

I'm up to the Bridge, with only 12 health, wondering where I missed life capsules...anyway, here's a list of all the problems I noticed. If you die before saving, and continue, the game over music continues instead of the music that's supposed to play. Balcony: Prefab Building door doesn't...

    Games like Cave Story.

I was thinking about mentioning that, but I wasn't sure if it really fit. Plus, as mentioned, it's really hard. I'm currently at the last save in the game, though. I think I've almost gotten to the end of the final boss a number of times, but I haven't quite beaten him yet. Site...

Hence, the letters having creating words, the signs now have words on them. Let me clarify my point, though: are all of those words going to be used in the movie? And, if not, why do we need to make words that won't be used there? At least, why do it in the Movie Script thread anyway.

If you want Sue to notice the text, but not Curly, here's an idea: It gets covered in sand in the Sand Zone. At least enough to obstruct the text. That way, Sue notices, but not Curly. Or maybe Curly can't read the language written on the hat? Just 'cause it says her name doesn't mean she...

As I said, sure, his real name is Japanese. However, as I asked, will his real name ever be mentioned? This movie is in English, right? Thus, the only name people who just watch the movie will know him by would be "The Doctor." Meanwhile, some other people, like Toroko and Sue Sakamoto, have...
