I really, REALLY think Pixel is making a new game

This most likely isn't the RPG he was working on but a different game entirely. What do you think it is?

Nice deduction, but it could also be that Player 2 is computer controlled.
I hope it's multiplayer, though.
But, how would Pixel work that out? {Connection wise}

Multiplayer games don't have to be online you know . Although it would be more practical/harder to code if it was.

It's awesome.
Coded it in a Language called "Paint"
Pretty neat.
It's a MMO.

I wouldn't really bother with graphics until I had the actual game working, myself.

Ah good, someone understands the normal process of game development.

What you see here is what's known as "programmer art." Vector graphics are common for that. There's no point in making something look fancy if it's just gonna fall through in development or turns out to not even be fun.

Probably because he deleted them (or at least stopped showing them) once he had some WIP pictures with actual graphics? Have you been following Cave Story since the beginning of its development? Or did you only learn about it after it was already done, then went back to look for information?

My college revolves around the video game industry, I know what I'm talking about just a little.

Two-player games are possible without an internet connection you know. Just config either two gamepads, two sides of the keyboard, or even keyboard vs mouse.

Or make the game turn-based. Still, it would be better if the game had an online multiplayer mode. Y'know, 'cause not everyone has RL friends who'd also like the game. Or no RL friends at all...
