Why is Chako purple?

oh right why do i always call it hair.

Hair and fur are almost the same thing, but here's the difference:
Hair covers only the head. Fur covers the body.

Chaco comes from a group of similarly colored mimiga in another part of the island but got separated from them after some sort of cave in or something.

 

Could be something she ate... Eating too many carrots for instance will turn your skin orange...
So maybe Chaco devours jellyfish (juice?) to a large extent?? How else would she know you should go after the "big one" for the jellyfish juice?

 

Yeah that makes sense, also some jellyfish seem to reside right next to her house. It seems a little weird to me how jellyfish appear only when you talk to her about them, and not at any other time. Like she is some sort of magical mimiga who can summon jellyfish.

Here are what the last few minutes of thinking up ideas got me:

Maybe she was a rebel and dyed her fur purple.

Maybe she was the queen of a pack of mimigas.

Maybe she was just born that way, and her parents did something with their genetics.

Maybe she is albino, if thats what albino mimiga are like.

Maybe she spilled jellyfish juice on her and never takes a shower.

 

I support the theory that Chako is the exiled Queen of Mimiga.
Maybe her real name is Queen or something like that and maybe she was to marry him before Miakid and his army came and ruined the kingdom.
Plus, she got a permanent summon spell that can summon jellyfish everywhere, she's obviously a high-level mage.

Albino means lacking pigmentation, so I can't see how that would work.

I just realized! shiny Lopunny and Buneary are pinkish-purple!

 

Yes its a shiny Buneary who was being trained on the island, but her trainer got attacked by a robot and she was forced to hide out as a Mimiga!

 

Too bad Cave Story was made before Gen 4 came out

 

One, I want to get a shiny Lopunny and name it Chaco, now.

Two, I actually think she's just a mutation.
