While not THAT much of a change, if enlarged you can see how a few filters changed things. And while I like the colors of the original, we are talking about the Core Base lighting...
But yeah, we've had our avatars forever!

Updated! Sorry I didn't update sooner Hayden... Luckily I saw this profile post, and finally did it x)
Yeah... can't believe it's been 10 years? That seems insane...

Sweet! Looks like there's a bit of a formatting error under the "monsters" heading though.

Oh, that's weird. Previewed it but, guess it slipped by me :O
    Should be good now~
Artbreeder anyone? Just found this site a few days ago, mixing up a few pictures...

CrossCode: A New Home is out! The DLC that wraps up the epic with some post-game content... ...I'm not ready!
A game video a day, here we go!

On the opposite end, here's a game with little directly told story; but great atmosphere (that art and music,...) and vitally important, the gameplay. Fighting the horde on the hardest difficulty was a lot of fun after surviving long enough to get upgrades...
On the hardest difficulty, I went into the difficult areas first to search for upgrades, and then returned with my new-found abilities to conquer the early stages... Good times...

From Daniel Remar's collection of free indie games:

Iji is a classic imo, Hero Core is great, and the rest are quite different and fun. Iji is always worth plugging once!

Here's one I bought soon as it was released (which I often don't do...). Followed it for years during development. Wasn't disappointed!
    Iconoclasts.
For the 4K images, what settings did you use in AI Gigapixel?
    X-Calibar
    X-Calibar
Hey~ Assuming you mean something like bkBlue for instance: https://www.cavestory.org/forums/media/bkblue-comparison.2954/
Can't say for sure, especially since AI Gigapixel has changed a lot since then, but currently I usually start with 6x resolution, Face Refinement Off, Supress Noise 0, Remove Blur 0. That usually gives a pretty interesting starting point. After that, I might open it in Topaz Sharpen AI to give it a little boost, and then proceed to get some filters going in Topaz Studio 2 or Adjust AI. Having more interesting layers to work with helps when I open everything I've created so far in Photoshop, and pick and choose and blend as I wish. Once I choose a direction, I begin touching up by hand or using the tools in PS to fix it up.

Woops, sorry for the late reply.

This is legit one of the best renditions of Moonsong I have heard! And I've heard quite a few. But your version really pumps it full of emotion. I'm not sure how, but it's not just 'oh it sounds nice', you managed to really convey that wondrous, expansive feeling through your instruments. I am so glad you made this!

Thanks... that does really make me happy to hear you liked it! It is incomplete, at least not where I intended to stop (I have a habit of doing that with all my projects), but regardless, glad you enjoyed it :) Yay!
    I'll tell you if I do another~!
Guess I should give up on getting 60 fps Cave Story 3D working for now... wasting too much time without results :/
    X-Calibar
    X-Calibar
Tried both haphazardly searching for values, switching between throne room title screen (runs at 60 fps) and after loading game (30 fps). Changing stuff around in cheat engine (seems like most games use the same 4 byte fps values. 0 = 60 fps, 1 = 30 fps), caused a few things, but no FPS change. Next tried to follow a tutorial, but apparently there wasn't a fps string in CS3Ds code... I guess.

btw, itch.io has a gigantic bundle going on right now. 1,658 games in it? For 5$? Not sure about it supporting this community bail fund bit, but that's one heck of a deal.
    DRM free, no steam keys.
I keep forgetting, 3 free indie games on epic till the 19th: Anodyne 2, A Short Hike, Mutazione

Anodyne 2 for free, huh? Looks like I'll be playing that game after all.
Horace free at Epic Game Store till the 23rd!

Looks like a worthwhile game to mention. Haven't gotten around to playing it though. Tell me how it is if you do try it!
Sundered free at Epic Game Store till the 16th!

I personally liked this game. The atmosphere, music; fighting the horde. Though may not be everyone's cup of tea. It can start out hard, but gets better and better imo. Of course, there have been updates and changes since I played... But, hard to argue with free.

Oh, I wish I'd been here to hear of this. I really dig Sundered but never picked it up, and I suppose I can wait given my sizeable backlog.

(That said, I should probably actually get the store so I don't miss future freebies ^-^' )
I think Celeste will be free tomorrow on Epic Game Store!

Ahh, yeah. I hope you beat Farewell! That chapter is really fun, really long, really hard, and has probably the best music in the game! Enjoy it :)

I finally got around to finishing it! So frustrating, that final section was easy, but failing at all meant a huge amount of perfect repetition. Gragh!!! Didn't go for the moon berry, which is apparently a thing. Might do it later. But, yay! I can finally move on lol (And yeah, some of those sections + the music = just fantastic.)

Worst death: I finally beat the finale and then I accidentally tapped dash during the passing sequence, before reaching the end. THE DISBELIEF IN THE ROOM AT THAT MOMENT
Hello, remember that you're consistently wonderful (I was going to say hello at some point anyway but that cheesy Headman pun compelled me to come before I get back to work :b ).

And also, if you want to give some spooky, interesting, obscure games a go (or at least add them to the Play Someday pile!), I'd heartily recommend CLASSIC GAME (by iamqqqqqqq) and the Pagan trilogy: Technopolis, Emporium, and Autogeny!
    Polaris
    Polaris
If you'd just like to do some digging, the latter three are interesting to look up info for! Painticus has two nice videos about Autogeny and the trilogy as a whole.

Very little info on CLASSIC GAME, though. if you play it, just remember that dead ends will occur since the goal of the game is just to see whatever you can in the time you have. The sequel, HOME GAME, is unfinished, but they're both Yume Nikki-ish.

Polaris!! I appreciate your positivity, cheesy is my specialty! Hope you're doing well, seen you post a few things lately. Huh... I hadn't heard about these games... Mm. I haven't played much that sounds like PAGAN, but it does fit the season lol. Might have to give it a chance. How did you find out about these games? Oh and CLASSIC GAME reminds me I never played OFF yet...

I'm struggling with focus, time management and organization, but that's how it always is, and I'm fine otherwise. Truth be told, I just got into a spooky game mood earlier and found out about them through the r/creepygaming subreddit. There's some good stuff there!

(OFF is an interesting experience, but I don't have fond memories of it as an actual RPG. If you don't know much about it, I'd still suggest you play!)
    Tried to port the CS2E multiplayer to the new enhanced build, but failed... ;-;
    X-Calibar
    X-Calibar
Anyone tried the CS2E multiplayer version? Only tested it locally so far. It looks pretty limited now, but it would allow you to play a mod side-by-side in your own separate instances. Great for racing or playing through a mod together... without actually being able to affect each other's worlds. Tried to convert the code to the latest enhanced build, but there were changes that I don't know how to deal with...
Hey X-Calibar!.. It is nice to see you still posting after those many years :). I came back because of Ralren XD. Here is a gift: "Crystalis, I decided to make it an RpgMaker project, rewriting many parts of the story while preserving the main storyline, dungeons, events and gameplay." It is a very beta demo by Avee. https://rpgmaker.net/games/3175/

Haithm! How long has it been?! Good to see you around. Hope life is treating you well. Yup, I'm still here... There was no reason to leave with the community ever coming up with new and creative things. ... But hard to believe it's been so long lol. Oh! Thanks for that link. Crystalis... Fan game with RPGmaker huh? ;) Intriguing.
