Which is the hardest boss in Cave Story?

Personally I found the Core to be the hardest boss the first time around, because of his comparative difficulty to your skill level at the time you meet it.
Plus laser balls and drowning and ugh.

hmm core was only hard the first few tomes butstill as far as hardnes go my no 3 but still easy(but undead core i find one of the easiest bosses(5th on the easiest bosses list for me))

I don,t know why everyone thinks core is hard. Just use lv 3 machinegun! For me it was Monster X, it took me 14 tries.

Well....I guess all I can say is that I have no problems with the Core anymore.

Because the Lv2 Blade is the greatest thing.
Beat it without damage, twice.

Balfrog is a bit annoying in a 3hp run.
Other than that yeah Monster X onwards.

Mustle doctor :debug: on any difficuly, Balrog :heart: (frog) on hard difficulty, and demon toroko :muscledoc: on hard difficulty ( i still havnt beaten demon toroko on hard)

If you have trouble with Toroko, you'll probably have a much harder time with Monster X and the Core.

Not to mention Muscle Doctor, since you said he was difficult on any difficulty.

There's a trick to doing Toroko's battle, you use the slope in the middle and she jumps over you.

I'd say Monster X. He's probably made of titanium or something, that's like the hardest metal I can think of.
Or Balrog, I mean, look at him! After all this abuse from Quote there isn't a single discernible scratch on him. He must be made of an alloy of some sort, and those are pretty hard.

Yeah, I heard that one time they crashed a diamond made of wall into an iron made out of fifty miles per car, and the car was unharmed.

Unfortunately, there are no bosses made out of DIAMOND in Cave Story.
