But is Cthulu {Is that the right spelling?} really human?
I see him as the mystical, super-natural guide that's one of the basic story elements in literature.
Hell, I think he could be the one that tells Quote about Ballos....

Lovecraft's monster is named Cthulhu, that guy in the green costume is named Cthulthu. A minor spelling difference, I know. But I'm sure that Cthulhu is at least as big as the Island itself. And he's not the only human I was talking about. There's Hermit, too.

 

At the very least I am sure Pixel read some of H. P. Lovecraft's work since the names are too close for him to have just come up with it on his own.

Um, yeah, but I find it quite dumb to get away from everyone by moving onto an Island full of Mimigas, Cockroaches, Bats, Witches and Walking Toasters.

Sapient, as in they can walk on their hind legs, talk and use tools and weapons. And I believe you're mistaking characters again.

Anyway, back on topic: The lights in all the caves and their power source might have been built by the Island's former human inhabitants.

 

That would make sense. I'm pretty sure the human explorers didn't want to use flashlights all of the time and installed lights.
