If we're going to have magic lightbulbs why not just magic glowing rock?
Start Point is a part of the First Cave, which is simply lighted in its entirety.Captain Fabulous said:Then how come there's light in the Start Point and beyond? It's obvious he never went there, or he would know about you.
There's an old bar at the Sand Zone's top an a teleporter underneath. And a robot as big as Omega needs maintenance.Captain Fabulous said:She doesn't need lights for the whole thing, like the chamber that leads to Omega.
I'm sure you need at least some light for night-vision to work. Creatures that live in total darkness generally don't use vision at all, relying instead on other senses.Captain Fabulous said:You'd think anything native to the island would have night-vision, seeing as they're underground.
He said the explorers did not use flashlights, just that they set up some lights in there. It's just logical that they set up a permanent lighting there, since they intended to stay on the Island for a long time.Captain Fabulous said:And the flashlights never ran out of batteries. They have perpetual energy generators in Cave Story? Might explain where all these lights are getting their electricity from.
Because there are no magic lightbublbs.Captain Fabulous said:If we're going to have magic lightbulbs why not just magic glowing rock?
Uh, yeah. Why did I agree with magically created solar panels in the first place?MetaSeraphim said:Why are you calling it outrageous? You agreed with it somewhere in this thread.

What if he lit the cave more than 10 years ago? Or what if somebody else did it?Captain Fabulous said:If the hermit lit up the entire cave, why didn't he discover you? He doesn't give any sign of recognizing you.
Ah, good.Captain Fabulous said:If by "maintain" you mean "destroy" then I agree.
Not necessarily.Captain Fabulous said:True. But then the Labyrinth would be quite dim.
Last Cave: Probably some kind of electrical generator.Captain Fabulous said:What the hell are these permanent lights powered by? Same for the First Cave too.
Why not?Captain Fabulous said:Unless the generator in the Last Cave is solar or wind powered,
Why so?Captain Fabulous said:it's a magic generator.
Whaddya mean "Before the war"?Captain Fabulous said:I never really thought that all of Mimiga Island would have a power grid, but I guess that's the only way all those electronics would work. I wonder what it's powered by? I suppose the humans that lived there once might have installed solar cells or windmills, before the war.
Captain Fabulous said:No. I remember Jenka saying something along the lines of "The robots slaughtered the Mimgas and the humans who tried to protect them." I'll look it up, actually.

Most likely Human explorers with a bad case of wrong place, wrong time. You can see all the equipment they left behind all across the island. You can't reason with standard-issue soldier robots to spare the Mimigas, in fact if you defended the Mimigas then they will assume that you are an obstacle to be dealt with and *ahem* get rid of the obstacle.VoidMage_Lowell said:But does it mean that the Humans had lived on that Island, or that they had followed the Robots there?
Explorers, yeah that sounds likely. But Humans living on the Island? I don't think that happened...andwhyisit said:Most likely Human explorers with a bad case of wrong place, wrong time. Oh. Haha.JacobX891 said:Um... Several hundred?
No. You're mistaken.
