But Solar Panels on the outside would have to be huge to power the whole island, like keeping all of those eggs alive, and the core, and the doors. The magic does that stuff (MagiTech), and the Sand Crocs light up the cave.

 

But magic created solar panels would be different from the normal kind, thus a small one could do the job of a big one.
