The first time you played Cave Story...

Ahh.. okay i took it out.. for curly i know how she feels about those things...

 

TIME TO JOIN THE FUN:

I first heard about this game called Cave Story from my friends. They all said it sucked. A week later they came back to me and said OMFG YOU MUST PLAY CAVE STORY BECAUSE IT FING ROCKS!!!!!!!

And so I began on Cave Story. My first thought was

Pixel... art... Unique.

And then I killed a few mosnters and gained some exp and noticed the exp bar flash with every exp sandwich "yea I called it sandwich the first time I played it. Triangle you see" I absorbed. And then I leveled up. Instinctively, I opened the item menu to see my "level" but no sooner did I realise that it was my weapon that had leveled up after trying to own a bat.

oooOOooOOoooooh.... This game is fun.

Reaching Mimiga Village, I'm like... OMFG THE STORYLINE ROCKS.
*absorbed into game*

At the part where Toroko Revil-ed and King came in only to die, I was like wtf? THATS IMPOSSIBLE! HE CAN"T! And then Toroko Ravil-ed, and I was freaking out. Maybe she'll return back to normal after Ravil-ing? And then I killed her. Then I felt giulty when I found out the horrible truth. HOLY I KILLED HER!

From then on I kept waiting for the return of the lsot comrades... All the way until the end of the game where they never came back except as pictures in the credits. Wud...

After that, Curly died. FFS THERE MUST BE A WAY TO SAVE HER! So I went to look for a walkthrough and that was when I noticed that there were 3 endings. I made sure I played all 3 endings after I was done with this one.

Until the final 3 bosses. They were impossibly great. And I loved the ending. Well, not really all the 3/4 endings... I only love the Sacred grounds and the Final three boss battle ending.

MY FAV PART = BLOODY HOLY (ShT WHAT TIS BE GREAT) LAND!

And I got owned by Ballos a few hundred times before I went looking for a cheap and easy way to have my revenge.

She's, like, 10 lol. And she was called cute by a mimiga when she was a mimiga. I'm sure you hate Kanpachi now.

I would say 11 - 12. In some fanarts she looks older though.

 

-The first time I played cave story-
I'd heard of the game about a year before I actually played it.
Once I heard it was Mod/hackable, I gave it the light of day.
I was amused by how you recieved the polar star (lolsteal)
I died by evil door as my first death >_>.
Once I got to the first balrog fight, Balrog amused me because he looked like an evil toaster breifcase thing.
Egg corridor= I LOLed at sue and igor.
"I can take you on!"
*Igor hits her once*
"I GIVE UP!"
Once I got to grasstown I knew this game was gonna be good. The balfrog fight was entertaining.
Sandzone= I got the machine gun, not knowing it would keep me from the spur.
Jenkas dogs were amusing, expecially the treasure chest one.
Labrinth= everyone had hyped up monster X as "Liek teh hardest boss evar".
I only died against him twice. Bladed him to death =P
Core= augghhh drowning so damned much. Did not save curly >_>
Egg corridor(hatched eggs)= The zombie dragons were humorous.
wall= boring sorta
Plantation= I liked the mimiga mask =D
Fight Vs misery= easy
Fight vs doctor=Easier
fight Vs core= med-easy. I killed sue, then misery, then the core. BLADE FTW =D
Hell= did not reach.

 

Am I the only one to have cried when Curly died, though?

No, you are not... I've actually shed a tear or two myself, to be honest. No, they weren't tears of sleepiness, either... It was late at night, but not no 4 AM the 1st time I reached there. That awkward feeling in my throat mentioned earlier only serves to bring this memory (And sometimes even more tears) up again...

I cried when she died to my lack of rope against the core.. she sacrifices herself for you... its so freaking sad and sweet at the same time D=
