On the Subject of Censoring Words

Dang it, MagicDoors. Not all of the people who use such words are immature, some just don't like swearing.

In some ways swearing is a good thing, yes - actually, it's probably better in general to use them in comparison to the slightly terribru alternatives. But some people just don't want to swear, whether it be upbringing, your own set of morals, or whatever. So yeah.

I'm definitely not saying you should detract the uncensor, though. It could be a good thing in the long run.

 

I'm confused, is this fucking real or is it a joke?
EDIT: Well I have to say, this is a hilarious fucking idea. Now I will try to post normally without constantly using twelve year old censors. Just wondering though, what specific words are uncensored by this?

 

An uncensor list would be nice, in fact maybe other people can add to it that way.

And polaris if you don't want to swear then don't use alternatives either, the whole point of my argument was that these alternatives are just excuses for kids to pretend to swear but not actually swear.

It WAS annoying and confusing, but I don't really think we actually needed an anti-censor to enforce it. But yeah it's been somewhat of an issue among new members recently.

Really, if you're going to swear you shouldn't fucking half-ass it. Either you curse or you don't, censorship is just confusing and annoying.

Well, it is annoying to see people speaking like that but for the most part the idea was a fun little gimmick ^^

 

Imo it is mostly the asterisks that get confusing and annoying (not tomention it's to blame for most miscommunication). But I guess the youngins needa be roughed up a bit too. This isn't your mom's forum and Jesus isn't going to punish you.
