Yeah, I figured you were trying to make it look like a flower-thing. The problem is that it just looks like an asterisk. Try making the petals thinner and longer.

Or just do a different design. That doesn't really work well at the resolution you're trying to do. Maybe something with more colors.

None of these have anything thin sticking out of the decorational part of the clip. Which will be a lot easier to make look good.

I think the second one is best, although maybe with a cooler color scheme. (And I mean that literally. Use cool colors like blue.)

grow the image.

Multiply the size by 2 or 4 and put it next to the original size sprites. As is tradition.

The sprites are good, but neither they nor your avatar look anything like a horse...

Honestly the sprites themselves don't have enough contrast and look flat-shaded. Not even sure what it's supposed to be aside from my previous comment.

yeah, I've used the word horse in all the file names of my avatars. that is my only explanation.
