Hmmm lots of games I need to try in this thread :X

Here are a few I've played played most of these, you might find interesting...

I'm sure this has been mentioned somewhere on the forums already :
http://continuitygame.com/

It's an award winning flash game, puzzle type; but with calming music, and a different mechanic that kept me playing one afternoon for a while. Nearly finished it before it started getting troublesome (the last couple were taking too long :o) Sometimes I just load it up for the music :)
Just hit spacebar and arrowkeys I think? There might be one other key...

Here's another flashgame I spent several hours on :

Flow

I think it might have gotten some awards too :p It's an interesting and addicting game, you play the part of a simple-cell critter and eat your way into victory. It's also a pretty calming game to play... (unless you get stuck somewhere or something keeps eating YOU!) It's a fun one day thing too. Not your average flash games...

Next up is a japanese doujin : still a work in progress but playable to the end :

(click on the Wonderful World banner and the page with the downloads should come up)

It's a fighting game called Wonderful World. Here's a video of the previous released version : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWiPZpuHsE0

Pretty simple graphics, but I enjoyed the character I used. Toughest difficulty of course ;D

Next up is ... ANOTHER japanese doujin fighter :D This one is finished.

Great stuff, also free. I think the artist works for Capcom or one of those companies. Might be able to play online using something called lunaport? dunno...

Here's a change of pace... Sonic. Mega. Mix.

Sneak peek at the new version : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8CS9AyAdSjs (level WIP)
Video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGPBAb7_ask
It's still a work in progress, but completely playable. They are already at version 4.0b... next version will be last though. The video above is probably better than my videos since it shows what makes it so much fun... [SPEED!]
You can be a bunch of different characters and sonic of course. Play the original Sonic game too with the new techniques from later games. Better than official sonic stuff lately I think...
Plays on a Sega CD emulator...Wonderfully fun to play.

F-Zero for SNES... now multiplayer online.
HAven't tried it but it's a hacking feat!

One more game then I'm done for now :p

This RPGmaker RPG called The Way. I've read good things about it. Been on my list to play for ages. Sounds sweet. I wouldn't recommend it if I didn't expect big things from it...

Knytt Stories is something I recommend. You can make your own levels too.

An unorthodox flash game recommended to me by one of my friends. I don`t really understood the meaning of it (looked at it only superficially though)... Do you guys get it?

Cognitive Dissonance.

It's a fangame set between MOTHER/EB0 and MOTHER2/Earthbound. It's fucking awesome. As good as Earthbound itself. It starts off slow but it gets better after the first twenty minutes of gameplay.

Try to ignore the fact that it's an RPG Maker game.

Some good freeware games.

A swedish designer named Nifflas made some freeware games that are pretty good. Most are three, but 2 aren't unfortunately. Some are:
Knytt:play as a crash landed person and have to find ship parts.
Knytt Stories: Sorta like Knytt but not a BIG storyline, multiple little ones.\
Within a deep forest: Play as a ball that has to save the world. Hard to explain.
FiNCK(Fire Nuclear Crocodile Killer) SMB2 but with non pixel and no storyline.
Try them out!I think you'll enjoy them!
[EDIT] Sorry, forgot link.http://nifflas.ni2.se/

Re: Some good freeware games.

Elaborating on FiNCK, there are secrets up the wazoo for those who think creatively. I sped through the game from a warp in the... First? Level that brought me to the last.
But, umm... Warning Forever is kinda cool. And... Um... I can't remember :D
I'll edit later when I can look through my folder.
Also I heard Cave Story is pretty good.

Brother against brother

Super Mario War. {Says Beta but it's technically finished}
It's what happens when you take original Mario gameplay, make it into a competitive 4 player brawl, add tons of items, gameplay modes, and a huge amount of levels thanks to the level editor.
I still don't know if there's any sort of netplay yet, it's been talked about for at least 5 years now, and since they're apparently all done with the code except bug fixes, dunno.
Bot support, though, even if the bastards are annoying as hell, so it's fun for at least awhile.

Just thought I'd give this a bump to ask if any new games have come out that I should know of?

It's not new, but since no one's mentioned it, LittleFighter2. It's an awesome beatemup/fighting game, and people mod it a lot, making new characters and such. I was modding it for years before I'd ever even heard of Cave Story.

Oh, cool! Nice to meet another lf2-er! I made a bunch of characters, but most of 'em suck. Some of the later ones are pretty cool though, especially Quill. If you're interested, my name the Lf-empire forums is Jed37, same as here. These days, I only really go on there if I'm suddenly inspired to make something

List & Put Links To Your Favorite Free Online Games.

That all you need is Adobe Flash Player / Java and an Internet Browser of course... And none of those games that you need an account to play it like Minecraft or the horrid... Wizard 101... Well, here are mine:

Endeavor - http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/555072 (Multiple endings.)

Tower of Heaven - http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/544332 (You know this.)

Don't Look Back - http://www.kongregate.com/games/TerryCavanagh/dont-look-back (No comment.)

Focus - http://www.maxgames.com/play/focus.html (This game can get to be as hard as shit so don't expect to not rage quit.)

Redder - http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/529992 (The game is supposed to glitch.)

Depict1 - http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/546057 (Lies. No cake jokes though, thats a shock. No seriously, it is.)

Tri-achnid - http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/347467 (This one is kinda hard too.)

Glass Fish Rythme - http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/514570 (Oh, and this one can get difficult near the final battle.)

I know most of these are on Newgrounds, but I found them browsing on there. I usually like games that are pixelated, and are sorta complex too.

I made this thread so we could all pass away some hours and at least slightly enjoy ourselves.
