Mighty Jill Off is good, though short
Fraxy is awesome, a boss-only game where you make your own bosses; i'd link but it appears the site's broken (I think it was going down around now, if no one can find it elsewhere then I'll upload to mediafire and post a link to that)

*Trackmania Nations

is an extremely fun, free racing game and you can play online and make your own tracks and stuff.
Although the sequels aren't free, I defiantly recommend this one.

I've been meaning to try that out. Hopefully lag won't mess up my playing too much because racing games require a lot of precision :(

Lagg isn't a problem. I have the shittiest, oldest computer on the planet and I could play that game with no trouble. If you do lagg, it's only cause of your own computers suckage, not because of the server or internet connection.

Um not quite. Being on the opposite side of the world sticks me with 200 ping regardless, and my connection likes to muck up randomly.

Hmm, that's odd. With how the game works (i.e. the game generates your world and you play it, while the game tries to make other players generate and make you generate for other players) it shouldn't interfere with your gameplay. (Whereas in GG2 everything has to be kept at the same pace so you'll lagg behind the server.)

Ah, maybe I'm misunderstanding something about how the game plays. I thought racing on other peoples' tracks online would be some kind of local server deal.

Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup, Thats a fun game to start with. I just downloaded it at Sourceforge, and it has 23 Races and 28 Classes. It may look good, but you will die alot in this game.
