mkay, first off this mod is great! Just the right level of challenge, good level designs, and the dialogue seems true to the original. I'm enjoying it so far.

Now I'm wondering, are we able to go back to earlier locations and get things we missed? I know I missed two life capsules in the area before Mimiga Town, and a couple other things in the Sand Zone and other places. I'm doing okay without them but it would be nice to have a little more HP and ammo.

My memory might be off, but I believe you can revisit every area, except for G: Earth.

Also uh... I just read that you're not supposed to kill Monster X but rather ride it to the end of the passage, but I just killed it and saved. haha, woops. Can I progress even so?

I believe it's possible to pass the area without even getting the Critter Juice, so yeah, you should be able to do it.
If you can't, I can make you a special copy to get you through there.

I'm so glad that this mod has been revived! It was one of my favorite mods of yesteryear. It's a pleasant surprise to see that this mod has resurfaced.

Now then, what I would like to know is will this run with Cave Story+ on Windows? If so, will it run with Cave Story+ on Mac?

This has always been one of my gripes about mods, is that support for them is flakey on Mac. With the original, non-Nicalis Cave Story the Mac and Windows versions were pretty much incompatible, so mods that utilized "hacks" wouldn't function at all. Mods that only modified scripts were fine OTOH. I've noticed that Cave Story+ is not PowerPC compatible, which hints that the Windows version and Mac version both use the same binary. If so, this implies that mod compatibility between the two will be much better. Is this the case?

Hey! Thanks to everyone who worked on this awesome mod. I'm stuck, and here's my situation:

I killed Genesis, and now I need to kill Oblivion. I took the "alternate" route, going through the graveyard and Genesis: Spirit.
Now I'm trying to go back to the Outer Wall. Here's how I'm trying to get there:

Reservoir
Grass Town
Fall down the hole in the far right side
"You were never seen again"

Is this right? Or is this the wrong way to go about it?
Thanks!

Also, is the game finished? Is the walkthrough finished? I didn't see this stage on the walkthrough.

You go through village>egg corridor>outer wall.

Also: game is finished, guide is not.

Cool, thanks. I tried that, and:

When I went to the Egg Cooridor, I got to the end, and the door said something along the lines of: "Testing...?" I got the ID card. What should I do?


Also, in case you're still updating it, here's my experience: One of the characters may have told me I could take Egg Cooridor to the outer wall one time. I missed that detail. In either case, both Booster and Misery are now telling me to go to the Outer Wall, but neither say how to get there anymore.

Ah, there's another door there! Right near the testing door, it is a window entrance!
Arrgh shmitz screwing with my mind I'll have to fix that.

I think smitz has little rights to his mod by now, given how its practically your in everyway but... I got nothing. Still, the Olive Branch jesture is nice, just that he left his fan hanging for awhlie.

I really don't think squatter's rights extends to intellectual property.

That is not true at all. This mod is his, I only made a remake, and if he wants my remake taken down or changed, I don't mind at all.

Sorry if I'm being redundant, I have no idea what nox just said. >.<
