Have you ever tried using assembly to increase the maximum amount of orgs that can be stored in cave story?

I haven't since I haven't had to use any more orgs than there already were. Plus it seems like it might be hard o: .

I'm sure it's possible, somehow....

WTF story is best mod i ever seen...

Doesn't mean that he has assembly hacks and such means
that his mod is THE BEST, but I would have to admit that it's
pretty awesome. You definitely don't suck at making mods,
so don't give up dude. This is no competition on how badass the
mod is, it's all about having fun. That's how I look at it, anyways.
Yes, I did look at this mod the same way you did, but I mis-interpreted
what this whole modding thing is about. Keep going on your modding, Mike.

Seconded. I mod as an Homage to Pixel and the dream of a perfect world where games are always free. Modding to me is about self-expression, freedom, and learning things I never dreamed I'd do (like draw sprites! yeouch.)

Actually I just noticed that It could be possible. I haven't actualy tried to see if it actually works, but if you open resource hacker, under actions, theres the option, Add a resource. I tried it and it worked but I haven't tried it running the exe itself.

What you do is you open an org file (With resource hacker, give it any name, make sure that you put org as the file type, and save it with language 1041. It will appear in the org resource list.

Well I don't think it's that simple. There's probably some list in the CS engine where it says like "song 0000 = XXXX, song 0001 = WANPAKU" etc (except not in plain english like that obviously). You would also have to modify that list, but as far as I know no one on the forums has ever found it.

Ah so that's why I was getting so annoyed with the mod :D
I was into the gameplay from the beginning, lots of good stuff with the mod (especially gameplay wise)...
Most of chapter 1 for instance is excellent [except a few of the last warp areas drove me a little insane.]
Chapter 2 was pretty sweet, Tetris messed me up a lot but since it's predictable, you just have to have a little patience lol; the cellphone ring was priceless lol. I DIDNT GET A HEALTH UP though..
Chapter 3 is where I got ANNOYED, I beat the entire first area CAREFully with one health after many stupid slipups, and then the second area where people kept appearing kinda pushed the wrong buttons for me and I was like forget it. Now I see why the challenge was tough... missed the health upgrades!
(Not a 3hp run kind of guy... and I use a keyboard...)

You should place a vertical trigger that sets flag 4000 just before you hit the water

Just a quick notice:

-Version 0.4's release date is pushed back to thursday/friday. This is mainly due to the fact that I need sleep, and in hopes of finishing wtf-easy by then. And school, that's also been a factor.

And yes the flag 4000 issue will/should be fixed in ver 0.4.
