How do you have problems with the background after changing the map size.

Ok touhou... well i've been playing all of the games in the series for a long time... And i've developed a fondness for them. It would be nice to make a platformer with bullet hell, like Megamari. Seeing as cave story can spawn an impressive amount of sprites and projectiles without slowdown. Although making said patterns doesnt sound easy.

This would be possible (kind of). Many bullets and such can be created by creating/editing entities, but it would require assembly. A lot of assembly. And because Ryuu doesn't know any assembly, and probably won't finish much anyway, don't expect much.

This is so disappointing.... I love touhou....

Usually touhou games have a bit more story line than that, but if Ryuutan copies one of the games' stories, I'll be pretty annoyed.

So how many maps you got done? Got some custom sprites? Have you even done any level layouts? this shit better not turn out like Kate's Story

 

...It infuriates me how much the touhou fanbase has fallen.

In an early version of my hack i replaced one of the enemies with a fox yukkuri. They were so cute! I'll have to include them in the new version. And totally, fighting Okkuu in Cave story, although practically impossible would be amazing ^^

Not to mention you could make ironhead-movement-type sequences. As in, free movign in all directions, just like in Touhou.
