Yeah.
The real answer is "Love"
Because it can be true love or friendship that is also a form of love.
Everyones happy.(?)

That point's already brought up, and I've gotta disagree with that, completely...
It's not "Love", but more like a incredible bond between two warriors who were literally built for each other {Not as in "Love", but as in they were literally built as a team}, who'd watch each other's back, through Hell {Heheh, pun} and more.
Like two parts making a whole.
"Love" has nothing to do with it...

thats actually, for me, a form of "love", a form of "friendship"...
Not the regular human concept of love, but really an alternative form of "love".... something that you find on objects...
And i must say... if you can't find a single little of that in there i must say that you have to see the world a little better...
(Maybe i will have to turn you into a robot hehehehe.... I'm going to prepare my mad science lab!... isn't "love" a damn complex word... damn....)

Quoted for truth :D

Also, Quote and Curly aren't exactly "ordinary" robots. Just the fact that you, a human, play as Quote, a robot, implies that Quote is more like a human than a robot, even though he is technically a robot. And while it is odd to say that two robots share something that could be called love, it's not at all odd to say that about humans.

Curly and Quote in game are sharing a kind of pure relationship. Like brother in arm.
But a lot people want some ecchi things happen between them.(include meh)
Cause there is a heart on the Iron Bond.
Cause Quote got Curly's underwear.
Cause they risked or sacrificed for saving each other.
Cause Quote fed Curly a *mushroom*.
Cause they are both human-liked robot.
Cause they both have heart.
Cause..cause Sue is underaged...

Ok, after saying those things, I found Quote more like a Terminator..

So that means.... Quote would be one sexy terminator?

He'd be a pervy terminator too, or maybe he needed the panties for other reasons (yeah, right). Like in T3, where the T-X collects the DNA from the blood swab by licking it (what does that suggest quote did then...).

Maybe the death of each other would've led to a mission failed screen, and they'd have to restart over. That's why he saved her. And he fed her the mushroom for the lulz, cuz the mushrooms was filled with nano-machines.

And yes, sue is underaged. And a bit of a furry at that too. Not too much good coming from there. I mean, it isn't bad, but I prefer curly. Or maybe Misery. Misery ain't a robot. What was this thread about again?

Oh yeah. Quote's been sent back in time to terminate the doctor. Since skynet can't rule if there's crazy rabbits running around. He needs curly's help though, since he knows not of compassion.

Just because they have "a link" between them and it's suggestive they demonstrate some kind of emotions between them (not talking about human love, maybe something in the terms of "friendship" or "protect something" or maybe a bit more serious like "lesser platonic robotic-love") thats no reason to stamp a seal on it with "oh people what ecchi of this." it's as annoying as "emo" for everything that isn't an grey rock.

Also, In every fiction that something is ambiguous there is multiples interpretations about it, there is no "true" interpretation.

It's like opinions and a**holes, everyone have one and they all stink.

I always thought of their bond as a immutable understanding of each other. Sort of like a brother in arms kinda thing but also something more. As they are the only two of their kind (the blue robots don't count). I think they have greater empathy for one another. It sort of reminds me a bit of the relationship in the manga Yokohama Kaidashi Kikō between Alpha and Kokone but closer because of the ordeals they have been through together.

That's my 2¢.

I always thought they were designed to be simple partners but held romantic interest in each other. The iron bond with the heart is a good tip-off, Curly sacrificed herself for him and he put his life on the line for her, plus I always thought they were just cute together.

I think they are more like comrades in arms than anything else. Of course, given that the true ending has them living together the rest of their days (along with Balrog), I think there is a good chance something would have developed between them during that ensuing time.

Also, them being siblings (which is a tenuous idea at best when applied to robots) does not preclude them from being lovers. Specially in a Japanese game =P

Arguments for QuotexCurly:
-There is evidence to support that Quote is wearing a hat that reads "Curly Brace", this could have been Curly's and then given to Quote during their last mission.
-The Iron Bond has a heart on it.
-Sue is a child.

That does not support either argument. At all.

I think he means that there can't be a relationship between Sue and Quote because of age differences {Decency here}, which would leave Curly....

Though I'm still for the Comradeship thing.

#The first female you hear of is Sue. The immediate assumption is that the main character falls for her.
Who says that's the case? TO me, that doesn't make much sense... although I;m not totally dismissing it.
Personally, I think they're like "brother I e=never had..." kinda thing, because they were both built by the same person (I like to think). So they're reeeeeeeaaaaaaaaal close freinds.

I vote on lovers(not too hard to program them being a team, but also being lovers or such), mainly on all of the things they do together.

Yes, it could be programming and such, but even then, they are not humans, so they would not have perfectly honed human emotions for things, panic may be one of them, but I don't even think if I'm about to die, just go make out.

I'm thinking, "Now, how the hell am I going to escape from this one?"

For how the walls close, and how Curly's jump is higher than Quote's, and how Quote has the booster 2.0, I bet I could have made it most of the way out of there, at least away from the closing walls, into a very small space between the horizontal skull walls, and the bone shaft above.

That relies on timing and luck, of course. and throwing all of your useless items on the floor.

EDIT: being so agile, I think there could also be some wall jumping added into the mix.

I assume they're lurvers because I can and would've anyway and there's nothing to disprove it. Although Capt. Fab made the best argument against that I've ever heard.

It's pretty much ambiguous to me. We can't really guess at what Quote feels for Curly. That's up to your imagination. But Curly never showed any kind of romantic interest at all, in my opinion. But it is true that there's nothing to disprove it, and the possibility of them as lovers is one I like more than siblings.
