Super simple answer why it's night on the outer wall and day on the balcony?
In the plantation you have a rest after momorin gets the last peice of the rocket so by the time you wake it'd probably be day

Wrong. If you go back to the Outer Wall after the rest, it's still night.

I dunno, but the black night sky looks like it's still mid-night (no, not exactly midnight), so the trip through the Final Cave would have to take at least hour or so...

Even in game time it still should take up to half an hour tops.
