Weather permitting, I fixed it.

assembly error, it doesn't give you an error log cuz it doesn't know what screwed up.

The version on your site is 10R
E- Ok, now it's complaining about something about NPCsomething when i start the game. (No error log)
E2- I fail. Wedge of Cheese already posted it.

When I try to run it, I get an error message, it closes, and it doesn't even give one of those error log things :).

Actually, I forgot to include NPC.tbl in the SFX. ^^;
That's where the problem came from.
And Wedge, it's cause I was attempting to exclude the files associated with your handy-dandy NPC.tbl editor. (That's right. SHUNNED!)

I've fixed it now, as well as a little more (namely a minor tweak to Internal Def.)

Sorry for the failure folks.
Is fixeded.

Also, Mr. Fist, my webpage was the next thing to be updated until I got so rudely interrupted by a thunderstorm. >_>;;

Also, Lace, the complete list of weapon edits is going to remain private, but the ones accessible through current gameplay are listed in Weapons.txt in the installer. Nothing too epic, but cool none the less.

And FYI:
IGR Cannon got NERFED.
Basic Matrix got CRANKED. (Sorta.)
Thermal Matrix got CRANKED.
Chainlaser got NERFED.

I haven't touched weapon behaviors yet, and probably won't.
The weapons of original Cave Story were nearly perfect, they just needed to have their damages, ranges, and level-up costs adjusted to fit the enviroment.

yay! that's what all my hacks were gunna affect, anyway.

that's lame. what's the point? people who actually hacked the game, like rune, posted all of what they hacked, and how to hack it, don't know why you're being so uptight about it. well, whatever, I'll just find out the hard way. note that my efforts are better spent on other things like doing hacks, making tsc commands and finding out what cat does. but feel free, waste my time if you like.

actually, from the looks of it.. he didn't hack anything, he only edited what was already there, like sprites and values. nothing new for you to learn there.

Jheez, does no one view the "?" in the beginning?
Or the fkn intro for that matter?

I'll give you a hint:
It's under the stairs, and it's not an ID card.

A secret shouldn't be required to beat the game, if you're talking about the chest, the teleporter doesn't work and there's no way to turn it on.

*Sigh*

It's not a secret, it's a part of the game that requires more work then "OMG GO SHOOT ANYTHING THAT MOVES!"
Think of it as a puzzle.
You gotta put some effort into your game playing if you hope to go on :)

Yeah, I think I mentioned somewhere the puzzles.
And, uh...
Maybe turn off the cloaking device?
And, uh...
Yeah.

Ps. I knew there was a reason I liked Lowell. lol

rawr. that was interesting :)

if the background is orange (or blue, or any non-black), it's a work in progress save. the last frame will probably be unfinished.

Fck yeah!
Epic Kung Fu action!

Really?
'Coz I don't.
@_@
And I'm not doing something "awesomer" because the original CS weapons were so damn nearly perfect that all that had to be changed was a couple things.

Anyways, HAPPY 20% DONE!
Yes, that's right folks, The Dark Platform is 20% done.
I never noticed before, but according to my percentages, the mod (as is in its current release) is 20% done.
I'm now 1/5 of the way to being done forever! :D
Muhuhahaha!

yes, perfect they were, but I just think the coolness factor of a new weapon trumps a really good one that already exists.

I *might* make a room where you can try out *all* the weapons... Just for a buzz.

Well I finally got off my lazy ass and made a brand-new tileset. =/
What do ya think?
I'm pretty sure it fits much closer to being a "Dark Platform" than before.

Keep in mind it's a work in progress, as I'm still tailoring it to the tiles I'll need.
Also, the blue and yellow are destroyable, with the dots used to tell me which is which on the map.

Release coming... Friday?
Again, a graphics-but-no-story release in all likely-hood.

I thought the "dark" part came from it being in space :p The new tileset looks nice though.

You'd think that.
But it's not "The Platform in the Dark", denoting the enviroment makes it dark, it's "The Dark Platform", denoting that it is inheritly dark.
