The CSTSF 2015 Modding Competition

Welcome to the 2015 CSTSF Modding Competition.

Well let's get right down to it:

Rules:

To enter the competition, all you need to do is make a modification of CS or CS+, mods of other games do not count. Entries will be accepted on November 1st of 2015 until November 30th. During this time, mods will be reviewed by judges and you can vote on what entry should win. You can re-submit a mod entry during the monthly period to fix bugs and such before a final evaluation at the end of the month. You can have more then one submission per year.

Voting:

When voting, voters will cast one vote for a trophy: Voting begins December 1st and ends on the 31st.

Here's a list of the current trophies:

Curly Brace trophy - Best original character/story in a mod

Sand Zone trophy - Best area in a mod

Grasstown trophy - Best art in a mod

Moonsong trophy - Best music in a mod

Critter Trophy - Best enemy/boss in a mod

Core room trophy - Most original/craziest/proof of concept for a mod

Hero and Heroine trophy - You get this if you successfully incorporate a two player mode (simultaneous) into your game

N0Xid trophy - Best assembly hack in a mod

It's butte-full Trophy - Hardest area in a mod

Kanpachi trophy - Most improved mod from last year. (this is the first one ever so it doesn't work until 2016's competition)

The mod doesnt' need to be started after the competition.

Why would I have the Kanpachi award then?

I meant the voting would end December 31st, not the 1st.

I can't wait to play some of the mods that'll be released over the course of this year. Maybe I'll even try and submit one...

For the love o- please remove this. This is a modding competition, not your personal wish list. This is NEVER going to happen in a CS mod, period. If two player cave story does happen it will be in a custom CS engine, because it is 10x faster to build CS from scratch with two player than to mod CS into doing so. Every aspect of CS is built on the premise that there is only one player character. By the time you have two player characters you would have completely rewritten half the engine. No-one will ever sign up for that.

I think we've seen enough Cave Story parody's or extensions/"DLC" honestly.

I plan on submitting my planned "Doctor Who Story" to the contest. I wonder where that would fall...
