Mm... Okay, I see where you're coming from. It's like fanart or fanfiction in this way. That's what wasn't occurring to me.

And, it's always a shame when authors drop off the face of the Earth. You're doing okay with how it looks, then.

Plus, you know, it's left up to the Author of the mod, if he shares his project files with the others.

Re: Sue's Workshop - Again in Development!

Now, loading the npc.ini was a shitload of work O:

diph.php

diph.php

It can load the npc.tbl too, but somehow the exp value is fucked up, along with some other values, don't ask me why, but I'll work on that. It doesn't display flags and some other stuff yet too.

Nice job-keep up the good work! My suggestions:

1) I saw that you are on Youtube (your music is great!-btw.). I hope you`ll put a Youtube tutorial about the basics of Sue`s Workshop.
2) Heard that SW has problems importing recources
3) SW and CE compatibility

The screenshots look promising! When will come the download link for it? (nut hurrying, just asking)

Best wishes,
trickybilly

Thanks

I already thought about that, I'm not sure if my german accent will be helpful when making tutorials though o:

I hope I can do some native recource importing, meaning, without any other programms than Sue's Workshop.

SW and CE compatibility

SW works with project files now, that's different from "normal" modding. There will be backwards compatibility, meaning, you can convert your mod to a project. But CE won't be able to edit projects or "patched" exe files.

Sadly you can't edit maps yet, so don't expect a demo unless it has atleast the same functionality as the old one has, which it hasn't yet.

gr.

I really like being able to use both editors, but ah well.
guess this goes with the whole projects idea.

which I also sorta disagree w/. I like to be able to edit anybodys mod, I like anyone being able to edit my mod, and I like being able to edit my own mods.
what would happen if I lost de project file?

bad stuff.

looks great, though, good luck.

Sadly you can't edit maps yet
technical stuff? or laze? I remember you having a pic of chies that had map editin.

Editing project files is safer for the whole exe, you can't screw anything with it, well you can, but you won't lose any progress that's made. If you want to use both editors, you better contact Wistil. SW will work differently from CE.

What would happen if you lost the Sourcecode of one of your programms?
Well, in the case you will lose the project file, you can contact me.

not good things, let me tell you. it's why I keep a decompiler handy, but it still screws everything up and removes macros and destroys comments and the like.
nofun.

I see your rationale though, good luck.

Re: Sue's Workshop - Again in Development!

Is a sound playback feature possible? If someone wanted to change the sounds for an enemy wouldn't it be easier to scroll through a list of sounds and play them back so that you can choose the one you want?

..wait, did that tab read "frame rect"?

For sound and advanced graphics you need a libary and I'm not familiar with any of those. I can probably look it up though. Probably.

Yeah sure. You didn't flamed SW.
Actually yesterday you were the one, who was all the time like: "Sue's Workshop sucks.", "I'm using CAVE EDITOR.", "Cave Editor is awesome."

Plus, I don't want to let anyone here start "SW vs. CE".
This is the SW thread, so it's not about CE.
I did say that I don't like CE, which is right and that's my personal opinion, not any flaming.

All of the "Cave Editor sucks balls," and me defending it, but if that's what you say, then fine. Whatever.

But, you know, you did put me on screen share, and make a bunch of textboxes that said "Sue's Workshop is the best" and "Cave Editor sucks balls." Not to mention you not shutting up about how it could do Framerect. If I recall, you also bashed Cave Editor, unprovoked mind you, for "not being able to zoom in. It can fucking zoom in.

After you flamed SW. Also I didn't bashed Cave Editor for not being able to "zoom in". I just said that it's not able to, because I didn't know it was able to.

Now, get back on topic.
