• Hey everyone happy Christmas Eve we're aware of what's happened with the source code so to keep this simple absolutely don't post it on the site or use it to make mods with (it's not particularly preferable toward this end anyway) and tread lightly in general until we see how this settles, thanks to all and have a great holiday season -DT

It can be edited but it maybe results in oversized big sprites in small area :/

I want to make sure I don't miss it ;)

You're updating Sue's? Wahoo! Upgrade!

Sues is the tool used by almost every CS modder around. I love it - and need it to do things. If you're going to update, here's the main stuff:

1. Weapon function editing. This is a really big thing which we all want.
2. Entities should have simple editable functions, such as health, speed and damage. This should apply to bosses.
3. Events should be able to be drag-deleted, in similar style to creating a large section of terrain.

If you get those three things done, your praises shall be sang.

Helloes. Here are my suggestions:

Advanced script editor - perhaps with a list on the side of all the TSC things and stuff so that you don't have to jump between windows. That and an automatic textbox formatter so that you don't take so much time aligning text. Would also be nice if the map editor would show all positions of the npcs (before and after animations) so that you could script more efficiently. Also, I've had some problems with screen size, so maybe you could implement a box that you can drag around in the map editor that's the size of the screen during gameplay so that you can edit your animations accordingly in conjunction with the aforementioned features. And yes, an eyedropper tool would be very nice, along with an undo button :D

Also, it would be nice if the map editor had some method of showing those foreground tiles that you can pass through so that it's easier to program in secrets :D

At any rate, the main highlight of this forum (the hacking section) would be vastly unpopulated if it were not for SW and the other editors out there. So, in effect, I believe that the entire forum owes Prof. a debt of gratitude. You go!

Hmm... I have a suggestion too :D Although I really shouldn't be doing this but rather my homework =/ *shh :D*

Anyway, I was thinking, maybe you could include a weapon function editor where you could draw in the path of your weapons' bullets and how far their ranges are and how fast the bullets travel and blah blah blah...

Don't know if its hard to do that but... I dunno =S

Its just a suggestion :D

*scurries off to do my most unwanted homework =S*

Your editor is awesome. It really recalls me the RPG Maker series, but yours is a freeware, and from what I hear, it will soon be open source also, that's just great!!! It's also user friendly. Thank you very much for your work.

I haven't use it much, so maybe I don't know how to do it. But if it's something that is not there, what I would change is a way of know what sprit belongs to what number. Thank you.

1. SP does not have permission to release it. (if she even has it)
2. That build of version 5 is most likely filled with bugs armed with M-16s that kill n00bs.
3. If I recall, there are no changes (besides a facelift). It never got anywhere.
4. This discussion has happened before.
5. Sue's Workshop is dead, and will never be continued.
6. If you want a new editor (or editor version) then here is some source code to play with:

There are indeed new features and changes (some cool). But nothing too big (like npc or weapon editing)

Why always close a thread? That's ridicolous. -_-"

Event List

Hey. I've had a little problem with Sue's workshop that I've tried to fix. but I can't, so I'll post an idea here.

I accidentally deleted all events in Arthur's House (Pens 1), and now I ain't got teleporte nor the PC that's supposed to be there. So I began to search websites for Sue's workshop event lists, in hope of finding the right event I was searching for. But, as I couldn't find any, I found this thread instead. So here's my ideas for Sue's workshop:

1.) Make a list of event numbers in a *.txt file that opens in notebook etc. , and maybe with some sprite numbers that fits well with the event.

2.) Make it able to reset the game maps, so that you can get the old Cave Story back. There might be a solution to these questions, but I haven't found any, so I wrote them up here as ideas for making the editor better for newbies as me.
