It's possible he was killed by the Doctor.
If he's on the surface, he's evidently not capable of taking care of Sue, since the only reason she's on the island is that she couldn't take care of herself and hence had to come.

He got turned into Igor.
Which is why he kidnapped Sue. So he could like..be with her and stuff.

Its simply, when they where heading tho the floating island Itoh was the father of Seu. The mother of Seu cheated with the doctor. and then things became awkward. When Itoh found out about it, he beated the doctors ass. Momorin wouldn't see them both anymore because of what happened. So the doctor became mad and when he found out about the crown, he wanted to find it.
When he finally found the crown he came back to ask Momorins hand and she said "yes". The doctor immediatelly wants to get rid of Itoh and almost killed him when Momorin see what the doctor was doing. She became confused. She did not want to lose Itoh, so she had to take down the doctor. She begins to attack the doctor. Thats the moment where the doctor went crazy. The doctor then turns Itoh into a mimiga and asks Momorin if she still loves Itoh. She says yes and eventually the both ran away. At this point the doctor wants to kill Seu, Kazuma, prof. Booster and Itoh.
Seu didn't know about anything so she is just wanering around in the mimiga village. The doctor saw her and turned her into a mimiga too. She also managed to escape. Later Seu contacted with Kazuma on IRC or some chat-shit telling the doctor turned her into a mimiga and went crazy. In blindly panicking he manages to escape to grasstown and locked himself up. What happened to prof. Booster? I dont know, maybe Kazuma chatted with him through IRC. Maybe he lost his way and dont know what is happening.

I think that The Hermit Gunsmith is Sue and Kazuma's Father. No one Knows he is their probably because he Was the first Human to the island. The Family probably Came Looking for him. He Used his Knowledge of Weapons To Survive the creatures. They probably gave up Looking for him because The Doctor Started His Reign and they had Bigger things to worry about then. At least thats what I think

I doubt it's Itoh. Nobody mentions him, and the relationship between him and Momorin seems more like old coworkers, which makes sense considering their research.
Definitely not the doctor either, he just wormed his way into the team. Oh and they all call him the doctor. they wouldn't call anyone they were familiar with "the doctor." Even if he was evil. It's just not done.

i agree, sue and kazuma's father probably came along, and then doctor got to the throne room along with the father, and on the throne, he see's miakids stinky, butchered, decayed, skull.
he yells, "AHHHH THIS PLACE IS HAUNTED!!!"

The majority of couples tend to hold completely different qualifications to that of their significant other(s). Booster and Mo are probably old friends, and thus he'd known Sue since she was very little. I get the impression that the father was just some unspecified, unrelated guy who either left when they were very young, or spontaneously caught on fire... and died.
