The voices in hell are explaining it to you(the player). Quote dosnt listen cause time stops when the message is displayed thus Quote cant hear a message that fast.

That's called exposition. It's actually very common. It's not considered "breaking the fourth wall," especially in this case, since there's not really any specific person saying it.

That was my point. I said that if it was a voice talking to Quote, something I disagreed with from the start of this thread, it would be pointlessly breaking the fourth wall. My point was that such a thing wasn't the case and that the so-called voice was just a narration and that Quote doesn't hear it.

Time doesn't stop. You just can't move. Everything else, including enemies, will continue to move around you. I've seen it. You just can't be hurt while talking.

Well there are some cases where time does stop and your floating in midair while the message is being displayed.

Not always. When talking in the Labyrinth Shop's Gaudis (Gaudies?), everything freezes. But when you talk to Chaba, the others move freely. But with this, the time freezing can't really be an argument.

Okay, I admit, those are good points, though I always took Ballos's dog as a humane factor of killing Ballos.

No, if you're in midair then you fall to the ground first.

Though it's possible for that not to be the case, as shown by at least one mod. Probably time-freeze is separate from messages somehow.
