i think the voices in hell were from Ballos's dog.
Because that would be breaking the fourth wall most likely.MetaSeraphim said:And why couldn't it also be a voice talking to Quote?
Well actually it's in the opposite direction from the Throne Room once you've gotten to the Balcony...MetaSeraphim said:The Goddess of the Island. There is a statue of her on the way to the battle with Misery, The Doctor, and The Core.
Prove it. Prove that he wasn't talking directly to the player. Are you saying that all text in the textbox is heard by Quote? Are you saying that treasure chests and life capsules talk?T-Jack said:Well, it was talking to Quote, and through Quote to the player. Therefore not directly to the player.
I meant that it would be Pixel breaking the fourth wall within his own game. No-one breaks the fourth wall in order to tell the player some backstory.Fire1052 said:Little late for that, Andwhy.

Everything that isn't a... um... status message? Yeah, that'll do. Everything that isn't a status message is heard (or read) by Quote. Since that backstory is not a status message, it's most likely heard by Quote and therefore talking to him. Further more, it would be the dreaded fourth wall breaking only if those messages were aimed at the player himself.andwhyisit said:Prove it. Prove that he wasn't talking directly to the player.
