The labyrinth enemies and the core have a special piece of code that broadcasts a signal to the Curly AI, so that the Curly AI knows to shoot at them.
Yeah, it's not the best survival strategy.

Still doesn't work. The noise plays, the wait happens...
Everything, but he stays still ;A;

Code:
MOV EAX, [49E210]
AND EAX, 4
JZ :KeyNotHeld
:KeyHeld
...code...
JMP :EndKeyCheck
:KeyNotHeld
...code...
:EndKeyCheck

I'm a little more desperate now. I've spent an hour searching my exe for
Code:
MOV E#X,[49E210]
and
Code:
MOV E#X,[49E214]

Whenever I saw that the up or down arrows were ANDed, I changed them to left and right arrow ANDs. The title screen wasn't fazed at all - it still only worked with up and down arrows. Only the PC movement and inventory movement were changed. Is there something I'm missing here? Cause I'm confused.

I've actually done this hack, so hold on a second while I check my notes.
(Which means like an hour because I need to do surgery on my computer)

Edit:
My old hard drive is beyond salvage, and I am thus not able to find the notes, but my general advice would be to actually read through the title code so you have greater familiarity with it.
The other strategy is to search, not for the keyboard thingy, but for [49e1e4], which is the title screen cursor.

Wherever that's changed is your culprit.

And once again, I overlook the links IN the video.

There's the script for the "intro" (Kings) where the doctor is walking, and all that stuff.
I made my own, but instead of fading out and cutting to the New/Load screen, it just fades out to black and I need to press a button. If I recall, in the original one it didn't happen like this. Am I forgetting something?

If you need to press a button, you probably have a <NOD somewhere.

No <NOD, just <WAI9999, which was present in the previous one and all that. I just removed the <ANP things >:

Upload your exe please -- this has no reason to happen because the intro has a hardcoded timer (not tsc-affiliated) which moves it along.

It works fine for me.
Maybe you just aren't waiting long enough.

Inb4 "search dammit", the important word is too short to be searched.
Is it possible to use HD musics in mods?

You can search "high definition."

No, you have to use .org files.
You can make orgs with orgmaker, orgmaker2 or orgasm (I think), all found at the original tribute site (cavestory.org), in case you didn't know.

There's also a hack to make it work for PxTone, which is a bit (a lot) higher quality.

On an unrelated note...
Is anybody here REALLY GOOD at portraits? Doesn't have to be super-great, but maybe Quote without hair would be awesome.

----------

On a related note...
I wanna make Quote knock down the door. The correct script would be for it to fade out, then transport to Mimiga villlage (was in Arthur's house), fade in and explode, right?
More info is appreciated >u>
And yeah, I didn't wait long enough on the other thing <u<
