Alright thanks! I hope it works. It did for the Sue's so it should work...Thank you!
EDIT: Instead of double posting, I will edit this.
Okay, now how do I make a stone block appear out of thin air after you touch some kinda block?
It happens at the end of the game when you beat Misery...

@Plow if you know where a certain event happens in the game, it's generally better to look at the script of that map in question to see if that helps, so you don't have to wait on the forum members to reply

additionally, super reference

I love how helpful these TSC files are....

Yeah....
All of those question marks make me so confident...
Specially since this is the file that also says "<CAT's the same as <SAT", which it isn't. {I've tried them..}
So misleading.....
It's usually easier to stick with the game's original script, then trying to learn certain things from this...
Only thing I've ever used this file for is the music, portraits, pictures, and sounds lists....

On a side note, anyone figure out what <CAT does?
As far as I can tell, it has nothing to do what-so-ever with text. {<SAT speeds up text, so how the hell did they make the connection between the two?}

are you trying to imply that i'd send someone new in the wrong direction just for shits and giggles

is the below statement supposed to back up this claim

what's misleading about (@ = available but unused commands found through disassembly - currently untested)

so all of those are the things you learned from this as opposed to sticking with the game's original script?

Actually, I don't see why you're getting so defenisve.
I never said a word about you, I was simply pointing out how much needed an update is on the TSC files...
This is the Hacking/Modding Answers thread, yesno? This is where I should complain about the file, correct?
Orangedawg said:

Again, I'm pointing out a needed update.
Besides, what do you think he's going to think when he gets to the credits part?
Not very many of the regulars here even know how to edit the credits...

It's suppose to back-up the much-needed update claim.

What's misleading is when they guess what they think it does, and get it wrong.
They could just either put {IDK} or {Unknown, found through assembly}, instead of wildly guessing something and misleading new users.

Hm? Think you need to double check that sentence, or make it clearer...
I didn't understand it....

I think you're asking if I learned all of this from the original game script....
Yeah, reading the original game script helps a lot. And the TSC file clears some things up, but it also confuses people, with things like <CAT.

But, not enough, apparently. It doesn't seem to affect text at all...

You mean this?
It's a little better, but even it still says that <CAT's like <SAT...
It's also just a list of TSC commands. The one Orange pulled out had all of the lists for portraits, music, sound, and pictures; plus a few other things....
I don't think very many people have dabbled with the credits.

My Problem

I was modding a cave story with Miza, I went in to edit Start Point and this happened:

p196156-0-thprob.jpg

If you can't read it says:
Run-time error '53':
File Not Found: 'data/stage/prt.pbm'

I'm assuming it has to do with the tileset because it crashes when it's loading the tileset. It only happens on Start Point. I've even replaced all the files in my stage folder with the originals and it still doesn't work.
Edit: If there's an answer to this I sure didn't find it with the search option.
Also, It crashes on new game as well...just in case that wasn't obvious.

I've never encountered this problem before, you might want to try sw or ce instead.

I recall Metalogz finding out the commands once. :/

See.

Ah, much more descriptive than all of those question marks, no?
Why wasn't this put in with the TSC file...?

Oh boy, are we playing the Twisty word game, again?
This is the Credits info from the TSC file Orange linked, the one we've been arguing over:
Code:
CREDITS FORMAT (credit.tsc)
==============
[T]X Text T with casts.pbm image X [on left?]
+X [?]
!X [?]
-X [line has height X?]
fX:Y Jump to location Y if flag X is set
jX Jump to location X
lX Location X
~ [switch to the left half of the screen?]
/ [end?]
<<< [comment?]
Compared to the one Metalogz made:
Code:
CREDITS FORMAT (credit.tsc)
==============
[T]X Text T with casts.pbm image X [on left?]
+X Shift credits X spaces towards the RIGHT
!X Play music X
-X Paragraph X lines
fX:Y Jump to location Y if flag X is set
jX Jump to location X
lX Location X
~ Fade music to low volume
/ [end?]
<<< [comment?]
Why don't you make sure you're looking at the right files, and not twist things.
Not in the mood for your bullshit, right now.
