Plus, even after that new edit, imo he just looks surprised at best, brainwashed at worst.

EDIT: That last one's better, though I don't see why it's any better than the face he's already got.

 

I meant his eyes were too angular, people don't really have square/rectangular pupils. His nose is also too defined for my tastes. Also yours kind of lacks eyebrows.

I think I'll go with my version of the eyes, because they're my version of the eyes. But thank you very much for your feedback and assistance!

There's a bit of perspective issue with the shoulders; Quote's right arm should be partially hidden by his body lest it look like his torso is facing dead-on which seems a bit odd to me.

Snazzy. Seems a little odd that the shield is shaded but nothing else though.

 

I was thinking that the shield was rounded, and the sun was hitting on it at an angle, therefore making the shield a bit shaded.

 

And his face/chest/legs have no curvature at all?

 

They were actually meant to be 8x8 sprites. If I tried to add a curvature to them, then they would look alien-like and weird.
I could do a high-res version soon, but's I'm not in the mood right now.
Possibly in the next week or month, whether or not I'm in the mood.

 

I think what Lace means is, you shaded the shield because it was curved, but not the rest of the sprites.... And everything else is curved too in various ways. It's not like the guy's made of flat paper.

 

If that's the case, then I will edit the sprites soon.
