Perhaps you should change the eyes then?

It's good. However, it gives the feel of a cheeky ghost. Just keep experimenting until you find something pretty :derpina: :derp:

Try lightening the color a bit, and round the eyes a bit more. Maybe a bit more for a nose.

Okay. Your robot has a good shape to it. Some advice would be to make the brights brighter and the darks darker, because it looks like it's made of stone. I would start by adding another brighter and darker shade to get more detail. Also color, if you can, avoid Grey at all costs. Make the robot some color, any color, it adds emotion to it. You can also make the eyes brighter and add a glow to them by marketing the metal around them a tint of green.

Robots also don't move their mouths unless the whole head moves, because jaw. You would be better off putting in a grill for a mouth. Your off to a good start nonetheless.

So I got my pixel art phone application. I didn't really try to hard but basically this is an example of all the stuff I recommended. It is beyond not finished but the biggest thing is the color changes and some lighting stuff.

Wow. That is nice.


I don't like the grate-mouth though. It doesn't fit very well.

Try making the grate mouth lighter, maybe?

I think it could work, with modification.

Go use the darker shade of blue-green instead of black on the mouth gratings.

I tried extending the grate.

It looks like he's gritting his teeth, and I don't want that. Not as the main pic,anyway..

I am making a mod with an MSX theme, I want to know what you guys think and hopefully I can get some feedback on this.
Also, if you want to give feedback keep in mind that I am staying exact to the MSX, that means only 2 colours per 8x1 pixel
line and the only colours I am allowed are the ones is the palette which you can see if you Google 'MSX Palette'.

Add other objects besides the ladder that are other colors.

Yeah,spikes and some other objects will be. MSX usually sticks to a few colours per zone it makes each zone stand out
more considering there are extremely limited colours.

Wow. The two shades of blue do look good, as if they were three. Awesome.

Maybe you should up the contrast for the shade of blue. It's pretty low.

I can't I'm sticking to the palette of the MSX.

Simple question (I hope).

Is it (relatively) easy to scale up the images? Like what happened between CS and CS+, except again?

How about making the game widescreen? I'm just looking into options before I set off reworking everything.

If you mean doubling the games resolution then you can apply to have a back applied to your mod I believe. It does require that you have a supply of art in that format already available to prove you'll make use of it and some problems of your mod done even if it uses placeholder art. I'd ask Noxid if he's still willing to distribute.
