Mod about the forum

My char has a short stature, but don't say that when he's around, coz he'll anihilate you. He's an acrobatic fighter but possesses crappy equipment. He doesn't like his ass kicked too often, so you gotta watch out for him. He has this weird nature of departing from any subject of discussion. He's very rarely serious and hates nerd guys. And he's a big time flirt. End.

While it is entirely fair to say "not all furries are into (horrible sexual deviance of choice)," it is a misleading statement that doesn't tell the whole story. Consider a group of ten people. Three of them are pedophiles, three of them are zoophiles, three of them are rapists, and one of them has a thing for corpses. Now, it is entirely truthful to say "hey, not all of these people are into having sex with corpses," but that doesn't tell the whole story. It is instead more accurate to say "hey, ALL of these people are into some really horrible stuff," and so it is with furryism.

Plenty of people are into that kind of junk anyway, I don't see why sticking fur on it makes it so much more terrible. Also that is a lie and you very well know it and you should feel bad.

I can mock Furries all I want, I can laugh at their stupid artwork, I can cackle at their poorly written poetry and stories, I can stare in awe at how much money they spend on Furcadia addons, I can make fun of them in their Livejournals if I want to and I will speak to Furries in the harshest language I can muster and there's nothing they can do about it without looking like complete hypocrites.

Furries often wave their freedom of expression around as an anything-goes pass to let them do whatever the hell they want while avoiding criticism, but constantly forget that it also applies to others. They often seek to silence anyone that opposes them or mocks them, completely missing the irony of doing so.

You may be surprised to find that people usually try to defend themselves when they're treated like shit, it seems like kind of a natural response if you ask me...

Informant is the best choice I think.

You missed the point. It wasn’t as much a dialogue on what furries were as much as it was a simile for their twisted culture, but you apparently don’t really get that, as you claim to, either. Furryism is, at its core, the sexual objectification of animals. Don’t play it off as anything less.

Not all that many people, actually, and logic dictates that a large amount of these people on the Internet are furries anyway or at least vice versa considering a point from my last post.

If you go to any of the more popular Furry websites, all you'll see for miles and miles on end is pictures of various cartoon characters, or "fursonas" engaged in all manner of depravity. This represents the majority of furry art. When you type 'fursuit gallery' into Google, one of the top five results is "Female fursuit sex gallery lesbians lolita teen preteen thirteen-year..." In fact, a lot of innocent queries related to furryism will bring up a plethora of furry porn/pedophiliac websites. This is why furries are the Internet’s number one laughing stock. They earned it.

And yes, being a furry just makes these traits oh so much more terrible. Maybe dressing up as a sexy Horse/Fish/Elephant nurse makes you somewhat unique when compared to the rest of humanity, but it doesn't make you unique in any particularly positive or worthwhile manner. Sticking your dick in a blender makes you unique, but people will still think you're an idiot for doing it. That is, unless you construct a subculture and lifestyle based around sticking your dick in a blender so that you can associate purely with other people that stick their dicks in blenders, thus deluding yourself into thinking that sticking your dick in a blender is the norm and not at all a crazy thing to do.

In any case, which part of my statement is a lie? All the entire paragraph did was further display them as obsessive losers with an overpowering fetish based upon sexual attraction to animals. That sounds pretty accurate to me! I don’t see why I should feel bad for stating the stark truth on the matter.

SO! Forum mod. Yes. Sounds good. I tried using that Anime face creator thingy but I couldn't find one to fit me since I'm kind of picky about my own image (and the hair I used stuck out over the hat I used <.<) I may attempt to draw something later, but this may take a long time as I SUCK AT DRAWING. I mean I'm not absolutely horrible but it will probably take a long time to get looking decent enough. Also nothing has been decided yet polt-wise, and I did suggest making another thread for that when the time came, since there seem to be many different ideas floating around currently (my own included) and this thread would become very convoluted otherwise.

I kinda agree. When you have 40+ guys demanding a particular character history, the mod is gonna suck even if it is completed. I think a firm storyline must be established - by discussion or otherwise - and then the rest is upto the leader.

 

People base opinions about groups of people rather than individuals. The repution of a group applies to the whole group regardless of individuals within that group, when that group becomes popular it brings the assumption that those who become a part of that group follow the reputation of the group. A couple of individuals wouldn't hurt, but a ever growing group following a trend that has a bad reputation that you would find annoying and then frustrating when it pops up everywhere because this is the internet. Kinda like how even though I like the pokemon games I am utterly sick to death of pikachu and pikachu is frickin everywhere!

Anyway, Kageryushin's opinion is neither right or wrong and the same can be said for yours.
