Mkay, so one, I tried to fix the window. Two, Ultima said maybe it should look kind of 'burnt' because of the nature of energy weapons and explosives and stuff, so I tried that. Is this what you meant? Or should I just stick with what I had before?

The burn marks are a definite improvement. Unfortunately some holes look squarish while the length of the burn marks look very controlled and uniform. I would recommend throwing some curves on those tiles and then extend some of the burn marks so that it looks more natural, but make sure the length of the burn marks are variable.

I agree with andywhyisit. And very good job on making that window fit in. ;P

I think you should add another shade transmission (color) where the burn mark and the fabric collide.

For some reason, when I download this mod, I don't see any improved graphics, and I only can get as far as the teleportation room. Are the later areas describe in the main post coming out in a later release?

I believe so (the most recent demo is pretty old).

I imagine only beta testers have seen any double resolution version of cave story.

And those who have played Noxid's submission to the "The Island" contest.

I dunno why, but it dosen't work for me. Maybe my computer just won't play games anymore. It sure can't play Gmod after me re-installing it twice.

There is a glitch in the existing demo where there are some compatibility issues with 64-bit OS. There should be a fix on the first post... if that's what you're talking about. If you are referring to the Island Contest mod, could you provide more details, since that *should* be working.

And yes, at current there are VERY few people who have seen 2xRes of my mod, apart from what I've shown in the screenshots.

Not even Noxid himself has seen the double resolution version of his mod. Only his testers. (This is why he needed testers in the first place)

Oh, I was referring to it. It just won't start up. I try to boot it up, and it goes 'Etc. has stopped working'.

Hmm, that's interesting then if it won't even start. Well... I dunno what to say. I'd probably have to see the error firsthand with my debugger to know if it's fixable :/

Sorry.

Sounds like an issue I had with Volley's mod a while ago. If Noxid is using that framerects thingy he came up with it could be an issue with your DirectX acceleration. Try running dxdiag and setting the graphics acceleration to its maximum so the game can use DirectX to calculate the rects.

So, first of all I have to say that this is really amazing...and I hope that you release more soon.
I've reached the research station but have no idea what to do next...I read something about a crystal puzzle, and how you should look at the table outside the house, but when I do, all I see is a message about rocks, hammer, and a map.
This probably has something to do with the large crystals in the cave; however, all King says when I examine them is "nice rocks", or something along those lines.
What am I missing?

you need (when you have the hammer) go to that big rocks. the map show their ubications

when you got them, test them in the machines near the house.

PD: save ever you can, the spikes really hurts :o

How do I pick up the hammer? Using the table just gives me a message.
