Why the hell you call it a rip-off?
Then the Underside is a rip-off, too.

think the reason it feels so copied is that it's using ijis graphics until the coding's done.
story is a tad similar tho.

lol unless your being a smartass i dont know if your being serious, that game is pratically the same game with a a few things changed :/, even the trailer is almost a copy, the only thing i saw majorly different was the laser aiming turret attached to the roof, the only explaination i can think of is that but meh i dont know what else to say >_> we'll see

EDIT: ok this explains it better >_>
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPHwOzz6NJ0 in the comments it was explained

""So, there's this awesome indie game called Iji.

Iji was made in a program called Game Maker. Because Iji is such a fun and well-made game, I decied to learn how to use that program so that I could make games myself. A lot of Game Maker novices who aren't familiar with the program gain experience with it by trying to recreate another game. I've seen Game Maker recreations of Mario, Megaman, Metroid, Pokemon, Sonic, and so on. I decied that I'd start out by recreating another game, as well - and because Iji was made in Game Maker (and because Iji is one of my most favorite games of all time), I decided to take a stab at recreating Iji's code.

After a few weeks, I made a decent "Iji Simulator", a game that imitates Iji's game mechanics as closely as possible. Because I was now familiar with Game Maker and had a cool engine on my hands, I decied to make my own game. Because my game uses the same mechanics as Iji, it is somewhat derivative - but I've made sure to include a lot of original concepts and differences to set my game apart from its spiritual sister.

I call my game "Shayda." After a couple of months of working on it, I now have a promising game on my hands. I decided to make this mock trailer about Shayda as an experiment to see how much of Iji's trailer I could recreate.

You can watch Iji's trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33mxD4...

Do you think I did a good job of recreating Iji's trailer?

If you want to play a demo of Shayda, you can go to my website at http://evaxephon.com/shayda/ ""

Bumping for the sake of curiosity.

What is the major difference in the un-powered up final boss and the powered up final boss?

Also, how does one do that?

Managed to beat it, I was just curious about this one piece of information.

Also, does anyone know what "Hero 3d" is? It's an unlockable in the extras menu.

Edit: found out about that powered up bit, man, that is hard.

Technically it's a HIDDEN minigame that is a remake of his game, Hero. There are some notable differences between the two, one being the graphics.. And it's well hidden, too. You can play it in-game. Good luck finding it.

Plus, this thing has been out for a bit, and I've already found out what it is.

Scrambler:
I believe it's in sector 6. You have to fight Yukabacera (i think you also need the velocithor), and the fight is really hard, but it's worth it.

In case you missed it... Iji 1.6 has been out for a while now~!

If you haven't played it in a few versions (I think I beat v1.2)
Quite a bit has changed...! I did the Pacifist route and felt quite rewarded..

Great game as always. Can't wait till v1.7 xD [that might be the only reason you would want to wait to replay this... (for new cutscene ending pictures for pacifist route) who knows when it will be released though...]

1.7?!

Oh, I think the latest version I laid gloves on was 1.3, so I really should get 1.6. Unless Ultimortal manages to announce 1.7 before I download it, of course.

He also said something about Iji 2 in the GMC thread (hope the official name'll be IjiII), but as the relase date was somewhere in the 2500s, it might have been a joke.

Ulti said he'd prolly stop updating the version number, as all he was doing was small fixes now.

The graphics are very smooth and the movement is very realistic, too. The style of the art reminds me of that 100 pixel game called Kin or something, but much bigger and more realistic.

Now I want to make a game so badly, yet I am lost in scripting and programming and such... :D
