Besides, I thought we agreed Quote was fully robotic, and not a Cyborg....
What happens in one discussion doesn't spread over to another (I think).
Also, the exp crystals are Doritos
When I drop doritos on the floor, they doesn't usually *tink* like those in Cave Story. Also, they've never bounced around very much. I'm jealous.
Not the in-game ones.
A nice point. You know the "Labyrint clinic" artwork? On that, Curly clearly has a navel. Would a robot have that? So, Quote and Curly would be cyborgs at most.

Quote and Curly are more Human-like in design than standard worker or soldier-type robots. Everyone thought that Quote was a Human with pale skin until Booster's big reveal. Whether Quote is a cyborg or not? I would very much doubt it. The paleness of his skin very much suggests that it is artificial.

You have a point there... As well, I didn't think about the definitions of robots and cyborgs. Sorry... How about this approach: Quote is a robot, but build with a lot of biological (well, non-metal) parts? I mean, I'm having hard to think that a piece of metal could jump four times his own lenght...

What I noticed the most with Quote's sprite was the long distance between his eyes. Far beyond normal human ones... When I had plans to draw a DM sprite comic, I had to make a custom sprite with his eyes two pixels more near each other to make him look more natural...
In the game context, though, vast lenghts between eyes sort of feel natural, but outside of the game and on the title screen, it's kinda visible.

Say what? I knew basically from the start Quote was a robot, and Booster's big reveal wasn't big at all.

I tried, but the place I downloaded it from gave off things like Quote's name and the basic background story..
But, of course, didn't tell me anything to prevent Curly from dieing the first time...

I didn't kill her! T.T
Damn Booster did...
I still don't get why helping him ends up being a bad thing.
I mean, from a maker's view, as every decent person would talk to Booster in hopes of helping him...
From a logical view, he probably needed the Booster v0.8 to get to the teleporter and maybe even use parts from it to fix it.

Still, I hate Booster for that D=

Why would a robot have hair? Why would a robot be short? Why would a robot not have laser eyes? The belly button is just there.
Also, it's an ethernet port.

Anyways, the hair could be synthetic, and the navel could be there for appearances.
I mean, their humanoid, yesno?
Ethernet port's kinda funny, but eehhhh.....

Well it's not like they're wireless. They could just get help if they were.

OBVIOUSLY the navel is there for aesthetics. Or maybe it is an ethernet port, or maybe she keeps things in her belly and she can open up her belly button. Or maybe it's a battle wound.

They're in an Island.
Besides, maybe that's what the Headphones are for?
And perhaps they don't want to call for help, seeing as what happen when the Humans discovered the Crown, earlier...
They might accidentally tell other, greedier countries...

Anyways, maybe the navel's a NAVEL :D
Seriously. That's like asking why they have noses...

They're not headphones. If you didn't notice, they're just separate antennae ATTACHED TO THE SIDES OF THEIR FACES. I'd imagine they act as ears.

Hope you're being sarcastic, because they do have noses.
Look at Curly's portraits.

I just used "Headphones" because they look a LOT like them.
Unless you've got a better name for them, "Headphones" works just fine...
Besides, you don't know for sure if they can't use those to communicate to a satellite or something.
Hell, they might not even know {Well, Curly might, after Ma-Pignon}

That is the worst nose ever. It is 3 pixels.
