I have the nice feeling you try to mess around with me ;)

Actually not, no, it's not easy as that.

1. O_o do you? Whatever >_>

2. I guess you don't get my posting format. The numbers beside are the indication of the paragraph from your post going serially I'm commenting on. Yeah, I'm too lazy to break it into distinct quotes.

3. lols this is a poll isn't it?
So far it seems you're losing. <_<

No seriously, you don't have to keep these accusations and personal remarks up.

Actually it's a tie ;)
It won't change anything on the forum though, so it accomplishes nothing, really. D:

Nope it isn't. The first two options can be considered together, for the imply the same thing. The third makes no sense, so you can disregard it. That makes it 16 against 13. ;)

And it can change a lot about how newcomers are treated >_>

No, actually it changes nothing O_o
And you can't :p Because option 1 has got the half of option 3.
So it's option 2 vs. option 4.
Which is just 14 vs 13.

You're at fault here because you believe that all so-called "new" people to the forum are going to be complete idiots and won't know how to differentiate Pixel's CaveStory from a mod based off of that game.

And the vote is actually 15 vs 13 because I voted for the first one by mistake. <_<

Guess it was my fault when someone called Jenka's Nightmare a game and Metalogz was confused. >_>

Then either Metalogz was stupid or he missed a point or two about Jenka's Nightmare being in a mod forum.

EDIT: Checked it out. It's hardly possible that Metalogz got confused there. -.-

It's funny to see that you both don't make any sense. Seems kinda hypocrite.

He posted it. Why you don't believe it? Just because it goes against your opinions?

This whole subject is getting ridiculous.

I drop it, have fun arguing alone~

Will do.

Mod (definition 1): Short for modification, the changes to a game from creating a seemingly new game by altering an existing one without altering the source code.

Mod (definition 2): Short for modified game, a game containing modified elements (see definition 1).

I still don't see how anyone can believe that any option other than #2 is correct.

Look at the definition of a mod, and you'll see it's defined as something like "a game created by hacking the resource files of another game, thereby giving rise to a new game."

I don't see how opinions come into this.

And saying "accept my opinion or stop arguing" isn't really a very reasonable thing to say. You're basically saying, "I'm right – admit it", when just moments before you were arguing that these are opinions (which they aren't, or shouldn't be, but that's beside the point).

Edit: I posted this before reading the third page of this thread.

Lets play the "Spot the posts where SP contradicts himself" game. :p

Wow, Metalogz wasn't the least bit confused, where did SP get that idea from? Maybe he was confused about the flame war that errupted out of nowhere. ;)

My definition was just pulled off of the top of my head. That definition you gave was better worded.

Let's play the "Pick on SP" game D:

Metalogz was in fact confused, as he stated in the thread:

http://www.cavestory.org/forums/posts/4596/

Because Chaddy was calling Jenka's Nightmare a game.

I wasn't jumping at Metalogz, plus calling this post rude, is just ridiculous. :<

I agree that that post isn't rude. But it was completely unwarranted and unnecessity.

What right do you have to jump on him and correct about something that is so small and meaningless?

What people call things is completely their business and none of your affair just because you dislike people calling mods games.

The thing is you don't understand why, thats why you call it unwarranted and unnecessarily. Argue with me again if you understand why I'm doing this. I stated it everywhere. Instead of calling me how unnecessarily and meaningless my posts are, you could try to understand me.

But I don't think you will that's why it accomplishes nothing as I stated before.

I never said your post were meaningless or unnecessarily, I am saying that fighting about this is meaningless or unnecessarily and just plain stupid to top it all off.

No matter how much we fight or bicker about what in the bloodly ell is the right thing to call mod/games and so on nothing will change, people will still call them the same thing they've been calling them at the end of the day.

That's true.
Allthough I wanted to make my point clear.
It was still confusing Metalogz, thats all I wanted to point out in that thread. So it wasn't totally stupid. Or how you might call it D:

Someone get Metalogz in here.

From what I understand from this thread so far is that a mod can be called a game but whether you should do so is still under question.
