Community Minecraft Server!

I did not know that. Unfortunately, I'm not involved enough to be a good server admin, so attendance gets pretty spotty. Interest seems to wax and wane periodically, and it makes me sad because nothing co-operative ever gets done. I don't like people using my server to make things they could just as well make in singleplayer, Grrharumphrarbleh. If I start the server back up, I had better see some DARN GOOD BUILDIN'S.

One does not simply built on my server. You will need teammates. You will need an attention span. And you will need leet mods!
I can get you that last one.

You have my uh... uh... shovel? And i haven't explored its full capabilities, but I would recommend Tekkit, it has a lot of interesting aspects, including programmable computer things. If we worked together, we could make some massive projects.

Also I won't be able to connect to the server for a while because I don't have my PC and stuff.

 

I'm kinda sorta maybe somewhat against modifications of Minecraft in general (and would prefer if there weren't any), mostly because it kind of takes away from what the game was originally meant to be. That is unless, of course, if the mods are meant to add onto the exploration, discovery, and its rewards for doing so. Most of them seem more like gimmicks to me than actual content anyways.

 

Yeah I'm not going to add a bunch of crazy mods like zeppelins and ogres. Just some stuff to make my job easier.

 

True, I play more for the Industrial Craft and Buildcraft stuff, they make things easier, and Industrial Craft kind of fleshes out the game more.
EDIT: So if you want to, you could just get bukkit ports of IC and buildcraft.

IIRC, when a server is cracked people who pirated minecraft (what the fucking hell man) are able to play on it. The majority of cracked servers run much slower than a ordinary one.

Actually, it's just a matter of changing one line in the .ini file of the server.
It doesn't make it slower, it justs remove the identification. Which means people with pirated accounts can go in the server, but also that they can use other people's names to connect.
