Community Minecraft Server!

The Cave Story Tribute Site Forums Minecraft server hasn't been up and running for months now, so stop reading this. You have to tell me on this thread or via private message if you want me to add you to the whitelist. The rules are pretty basic:

1. Don't break other people's stuff.
2. Don't make ugly stuff or I will break it.
3. For the love of God, cut down the whole tree.


Noxid Edit: community server is back up and running again. Connect to minecraft.noxid.ca or if that doesn't work, 142.167.95.52. We're running Tekkit so you'll need to download the technic launcher from http://www.technicpack.net/download
*regular* tekkit, not lite or classic mind you. Version 1.0.6 for future reference in case that changes.

From now on I'll be editing the first post to say if we're online or not, so it's easy to drop by.

We mined for a couple hours, with minimal glitches and lag. We kept getting this one glitch where a block would reappear immediately after being destroyed, without yielding resources. If anyone knows about this, I would be grateful for your help. Other than that, as long as you don't force the server to generate too many chunks at once, it should run smoothly.

Work on the town thing has barely started, but we got an assload of iron and coal. Jesus, the caves. They will haunt me. I found a cave that I thought was big. I had no idea. We must have played for four hours, and we didn't explore the entire thing.

And it's right underneath the town.

Yeah.
Minecraft SMP glitch #39573: blocks reappearing and not dropping resources.
This is due to lag. It may seem relatively lag-free, but this glitch happens if you have even a scosh of lag.

Also, to anyone who didn't know, drop your items and pick them up to restore their durability!

Actually the glitch with the reappearing blocks seemed to happened to me only if I tried to interact with a certain chunk. Yakkers couldn't dig there either, so I'm hoping that it can be changed. Maybe it has something to do with it being the place where you spawn.

That bug was fixed. Was great while it lasted.

That's a shame, I really loved that glitch.
It seems like it should be kept, because more users on one map->quicker use of precious resources->bad.

Yeah, that was a good glitch, great were the days when I could renew all my stuff simply by throwing it away then retreiving it again. As for diamond hunting, if you stick to a certain level of the game (I think it was layers 1-10 from the highest bedrock up), I've found that they're not as rare as people think. Or maybe I hit a lucky streak.

More users on one map->faster resource gathering->balances out. It's all infinite, after all.

No, that's not a lucky streak. That's the elevation at which diamond appears.

Hey, speaking of Minecraft, the server's up! However, minecraft.net is down, so you might not get your inventory, Yakkers and Noxid. Plus that annoying INVULNERABLE CHUNK is still there. HAHAHA DISREGARD THAT, MINECRAFT.NET SUCKS COCKS
