Post. Kind of like this is the 436th post in this thread, so it would be a 436 GET.

It's a meme thing.

You know... It's really easy to imagine what Cave Story would be like if it was an anime.

Cave Story would be awesome as an anime!
Get some animators and some artists and a Tv station and you're good to go!
Also, it might be a good idea to ask Pixel.

I think Cave Story would fit better into a American cartoon style instead of a Japanese one.

It IS really easy to imagine. It'd be like the game, only with higher resolution, shorter action sequences and worse writing.

The fact is it most likely wouldn't be longer than an hour long. Unless we get DBZ-like filler.

Quote and Curly learning how to drive? FUCK YEAH!

They could just make an... What was it, an OAV? Those don't have to be more than an hour long.

It definitely wouldn't need a whole series. If you can do a playthrough of the game itself in under an hour it would be pretty hard to get more than that out of making it into a watchable format.

You could get maybe 2 hours tops if you extended the trip throughout the Island, and gave Quote more interaction with characters.

Actually, Atravir presumed that the movie would take about two hours (or more). Unfortunately, neither he nor innocent ever finished the script.

I don't see how it could go over 2 hours, it's not like Cave Story is that story heavy (unless you create story) and most of it would be aimless wandering.

Storytelling takes time, that's how. In 76 pages, Atravir only got to the Labyrinth Balrog fight, and if the time rule of script (1 page of script = 1 minute of film) is true, he already got past your one hour.

Wow, impressive. So there is lots of script material. Technically, playing the game would take longer than watching the movie. (full cave story run in 2 hours?)

Must have milked every last line of conversation. Sounds a little stretched out honestly.

Sadly it won't ever happen. Unless someone else feels like making a whole movie for Cave Story in their spare time.

And seeing how Mods never get finished around here (unless they're short), yeah. . .

People have made cavestory comics that sorta follow the story.

That's about as far as it'll go, I think.

Cave Story would be boring as an animation of any kind, unless you heavily alter the events (Like Atravir did, only good instead). However, a Cave Story musical might work...
